Tbh, there are people who sleep on NCT Dream because they’re the little brother group and their earlier tracks leaned on the bubblegum pop side and how they’re marketed (there are still gems and My First and Last choreo was very MJ inspired). This unit used to be “the graduation unit”, that’s why Mark stayed in 127 later on, but Haechan (the vocal Fredo asked about) is still a part of both (Mark made a comeback in the unit for the track “Deja Vu” last year for the first rollout of Resonance (it’s a 2 part album). You’ll see the growth overall as you continue to watch and listen :)

During MV commentary they said the director literally just ask them to act freely thus they said having alot of fun during filming and just playing around alot among themselves. And they shoot this in US. This song is part of nct 2018 album, which is the first song of nct dream that have mature concept. Their debut song Chewing Gum was so cute since they looked like a baby and use hoverboard while dancing. Then they released My First and Last, We Young, and Go. to avoid confusion, Mark is on NCT 127, U and Dream (and SuperM) he's called the pro debuter because he debuted on 3 sub-units (out of 4) in NCT. Haechan is on NCT 127 and also in NCT Dream. Ten is on NCT U and WayV. Taeyong also is on NCT 127, U and SuperM (he can't be with Dream because Dream is for teenage members of NCT). to summarize NCT 127 is where all (basically not all, but almost) oldest member is. NCT Dream, the teenage unit WayV, the chinese unit NCT U, the rotational unit (anyone from the NCT can join depending on who suits the concept of the song)

Nct dream was supposed to be the unit where they added new young members to Nct, but after Mark graduated when he turned 20, they decided to keep it as a set group and they announce Mark is going back to them as well, so Mark, who you like is in nct u, nct 127, nct dream and SuperM. The high note is Haechan who's in 127 as well, the rest of the members here are Renjun, Chenle, Jeno, Jisung and Jaemin, this was Jaemins first song in while as he had been absent due to an injury, which when you watch earlier songs you will notice.

Well in terms of NCT DREAM, the one important thing you must do to qualify to be an NCTzen is to know their “iconic debut song” CHEWING GUM. GO was the first song that they released after two years of (yes you were also correct) producing “we’re so cute we’re so lovely” songs. Then the “DREAMIES” and the “127 SQUAD” suddenly decided to switch concept - so the Dreamies became young and freaky and the 127...well just put TOUCH on your To-React-Next list since I don’t wanna give any spoiler. Although CHEWING GUM belongs in the cutesy song category back in 2016, it truly is the iconic song that became so popular and many other groups like to jam and hum to, because it was addictive, and because the Dreamies were the only so-called kpop group that consisted of teenagers so they are the freshest and cutest among the kpop idols. That said, CHEWING GUM (and also MY FIRST AND LAST) still has fire choreography, a really fun rap by your favorite Mark, and that same distinctive NCT beat and flavor and dare I say...I think it has a potential to be included in your cleaning-my-fishtank-and-studio-time playlist! You've seen him all over the place. He's the one with the crazy high notes (with Ten from WayV) in "90s Love". Haechan and Mark are both in Dream and NCT 127 and NCT U. Haechan has a unique voice and he's so funny, a natural comedian. These boys grew up together. There are videos of SM Rookies, and Mark and Haechan were literal children, so damned adorable.
