The "blame it on my youth" line in the chorus actually gives the song a little more edge and character. It makes me imagine spikes in the pulse or the pangs of guilt and regret or even the rebellious streak we all have especially when we were younger. All the parts of the song reminds me of different stages and moods (like the vulnerable and delicate parts in the verses or or the angst in the rap parts, and the feeling of things reaching climax and then culminating in the bridge and final chorus) we go through in our process of realizing our mistakes and and wanting to be better and reach out to reconnect with the people we might have hurt along the way. The producers, arranger and the group WayV have showcased great musicality in this one. Thank you for the reaction☺️❤️

I love this song and this album too, it’s my favourite WayV album so far❤ the ‘on my youth’ part was jarring at first listen but I get it now, it really gives it the neo vibe and sets up the song well for the next part, everything intertwines well overall to me, a good balance of swag, neo and showcase of those crazy vocals!!! Love it!

I also recommend more Wayv songs, Poppin Love, which is from the same album as this song. More songs from them are Moonwalk and Turn Back Time. For the other NCT units, I would recommend the NCT Dream killing voice and Poison (lyric video)

Highly suggested WayV contents: REGULAR (their first ever mv) ACTION FIGURE (performance video that shows their suave moves) BAD ALIVE (bad boy/player concept) TURN BACK TIME (futuristic/dystopian concept) If you're into dance, note that WayV have great choreos and their dance practices are so fun to watch. They also have TEN, who may be barely seen in mainstream kpop cuz they are a Chinese subunit but still is arguably the best dancer in kpop. You can also check out NCT 127 and NCT Dream, the Korean subunits of NCT. And NCT U their rotational subunit consisting different members of different subunits for each release.

Label V is the Chinese sub-label of SM Entertainment. It was formed for WAYV to be able to perform and promote in China, as their are tensions between Korean and China historically. At least that is my understanding of why Label V was formed.

On my youth is such a banger I really love this song one of their best title track😊 the album is a no skip for me😊 please check out Phantom it's a release before on my youth. On My Youth is a great song, but it is jarring on first listen. I was thrown off by the chorus the first time, but each time I listened to the song, I liked it more. The song comes together so well at the end. Also if you want to see the full choreography for the song, there is a performance video that has the full choreography. It is also the English version of the song.
