ND MX-5 Revlimiter Gauge Face Installation

I don't think the camera did it justice. In person, you can see the details more clearly and it's more obvious that the design is centered around a star trail from a rocket ship flying just above the speedometer needle. Thankfully Revlimiter has a lot of designs to choose from though!

I want some Revlimiter gauges, but I have an ND2 and scared to death to pull the needles off for fear of breaking the stepper motors.

Thankfully Revlimiter DOES supply tools to get the needle off for ND2s. It does seem a bit daunting, but I’m sure that with some caution and patience it can be done safely!

I have the same car, it was definitely a little scary but take your time and it’s not that bad. The hardest part was gluing the needles back together after the fact.

Had to adjust the clearance between the gauge face and the needles twice. The face likes to "expand" when its getting warmer outside and/or the sun is shining directly onto it for a longer period of time. This causes the face to warp and thus make contact with the needle bases. Be generous with the amount of space you leave between them. First time the needle got stuck in the middle of driving, wich gave me a mini heart attack ._.

@@DriveMX5 ah I see. That little triangle is for your gear! Is that visible with this gauge face?

@@jonstechchannel yes, although you can opt for the gauge face to not show it. So the material just blocks out that triangle screen (which this one was opted for)

It all joking aside great selection in their shop and for $129 they are much more affordable then some aluminum offering which go up to $450.

love these gauges and super informative video! i love seeing all the different gauges from revlimiter and these ones fit the car so well! always enjoy seeing your videos even though i don’t have an ND myself, it’s good to be informed on something that i spend a lot of my time around and can be a help to others.🩶
