just checked the site Mr GVL N R was referring to. as per their own date the cost of production for 1 quintal of paddy was given at 1117 . togather with the family labour this stands at Rs 1484. MSP is Rs 1550/-. Profit over the A2 is Rs 433 which is 38.76% and 4.44% on A2+FL . the estimated figure 1117 is much below the actual. and Mr GVL says that their Govt is giving 54% over COP already.54 % on Rs 1117 /- considering the min.cost comes to Rs. 603.18 . Add 603.18 to 1117 the MSP for one quintal of paddy is Rs 1720.for a 75kg bag which is a standard packing in andhra the rate would be 1290. This season i sold the paddy @ Rs 1200 per bag. Any way we will wait and watch.
