My son is on the NDIS we dont get money as we stopped it as the providers charge to much and they would take him out and while he was in the park they would sit down and play on there phones or they would have 2 to 3 other clients with them just to get the money

Completely unaffordable and unmanageable. I wonder what the bureaucracy costs??

As much as the actual people who do the careing it's discusseding there's so many leaching at the burocrat level it would be cheaper to give free shit to the recipients it's a massive over paying bloated welfare program for burocrats

Family member carers are 'on the job' 24/7/365. No-one gives a shite about them. Not really. Family member carers usually give up their whole lives for the person they're caring for. They often lose their own health doing it. No-one recognises this. Did a rough calculation a few years ago. With no penalty rates, working 24/7 all year round, family member carers should be paid between $250,000 and $350,000 per year - yet have to cope with the pittance of a carers pension to just scrape by. To make matters worse, those carers in the Wide Bay region a few years back were swept up into the Indue Card program, a despicable insult.

I have seen the benefits of the NDIS. I have experienced how the NDIS really helps Australians and their family carers. We need to keep the NDIS and stop the rorting. Calling for the ending of the NDIS is as silly as calling for the end of the ABC - It's dumb. It's the politics and commercial interests which need to be rooted out of the programs.

No, we actually don’t “like to take care” of our family members. It’s that we have no choice. None of us want to be constantly overwhelmed, stressed and burnt out. Hahahaha “trained specialist care” regarding support workers? How did he say that with a straight face? The NDIA are currently doing nothing about the rorting and people getting rich off the scheme. What they are doing is slashing participants funding. Please don’t believe a word they say.
