It is not underrated. During the year ndp this came out, it was well beloved by many locals and especially among school students. Both my island home and reach out for the skies are the most adored NDP theme song for the next few years. It was because it wasn't used in the NDP shows nowadays that is why it looks like it was forgotten but trust me nowadays a lot of singaporean still remember this song

Been 18 years yet this song still strikes a chord in my heart. Was serving NDP duty as an NSF during NS in 2006 at the old national stadium and heard this song every weekend while on NDP duty. Memorable song through and through

2 years before I was born,never got the experience growing up as a teen in the 2000s and I greatly wanna do so,But as a teen living out the mid of 2010s,I can say it’s been a rollercoaster but songs like these are still played yearly at National Day parades

i mean you didnt have to be a teen to experience it, mostly just being in existance. I was born in 98 and i rmb how technology changed, although not clearly. Walkmans were gone by the time i was born but i heard about them. I know there were LDs and CDs and those huge square computers with mouse that have a ball at the bottom. Also phones changed rapidly from nokia 1 inch by 1 inch screen to flip phones and slide phones in upper primary and finally iphone 4 in sec 1-2
