NDT Video Library is this not available for iPhones?

I always ensure the line falls between the two white lines during calibration / TCG setup, however, I appreciate you were just doing a demonstration for the video Great video, looking to see more

Dave Adams thank you!

you used for this calibration depth for 1/4" to 1", if my weld is on a plate with 0.280" thickness, this calibration works? o i have to use a maximum depth my thickness

Great video! How are you guys liking the SX vs the MX2?
@NDTVideoLibrary6 жыл бұрын
The SX works great for training and small inspection projects. But when we are on bigger projects where we need PAUT and TOFD together or just multiple PAUT probes, then we have to go for MX2. I like them both.

I mate I followed the video step by step but I don't know why in the section where you are calibrating de wedge (minute 4:36 from the video) your gate runs and follow your indication while you are moving back and forward the probe BUT in my case I try to do the same and my gate stays just in the same position and my indication decrease (naturally) as more as Im far from the reflector (in my case an IIW type 1 radius).
@NDTVideoLibrary6 жыл бұрын
I am not sure why that happens. I will try using IIW type 1 radius and get back to you soon.

U need to synchronise your A gate with your back wall echo. I don't have an instrument with me at the moment to tell you exactly what needs to be done to get that, sorry. Hope someone else can help you out.

hello why you didnt do the velocity calibración before of wedge delay calibración?
@NDTVideoLibrary8 жыл бұрын
Because first the instrument has to know the distance travelled by sound inside the wedge which is the wedge delay, before it can calibrate for the velocity inside the part.

yes

Also, in many cases, velocity calibration might not even be necessary. Because, you will be performing velocity calibration on a cal block which if it is not the exact same material as the part, then it will be waste. Better to pick the textbook velocity value. And if you use SDH for velocity calibration, then it will throw the values off even more. So if at all you are performing Vel Cal, use Radius.

Hello, by roller rapid scanner, do you mean this one? www.olympus-ims.com/en/rollerform/#!cms[tab]=%2Frollerform%2Foverview
