Seen a documentary, the lady is a ocean biologist (Dr. Judith Nagel-Myers of St. Lawrence University), She counts the coral layers like tree rings, turns out around 400 Million years ago, the Earth's spun faster, it's daily cycle was only 21 hours... here's the clip kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWWzmp6OjJxsZ80 this takes place before any ocean floor existed according to NOAA sea floor map, lol..

According to NOAA the Atlantic sea floor is spreading an inch, or 2.4cm per year. Coincidentally according to Nasa, the Moon is moving away from the Earth at, you guessed it 2.4cm (1") per year..

I did some Newtonian calculations of what the moon would do if the earth grows in mass. According to Newton, and my eyes almost popped out of my skull, the moon moves away into a higher orbit! Kinda freaky but oh so cool. Maybe the concept of the moon going into a higher orbit due to tidal forces and water sloshing around is wrong.

They actually can´t measure how fast the moon is moving away from the Earth with lasers and mirrors down to the centimeter because there are too many variables. Earth is not spherical and gravity is not the same across its entire surface. Even whatever mountain the laser would be firing from would be moving every year.

I would be the last person on Earth to be surprised by rifting, Spreading, Erupting or plate movement of areas of the Earth and it's outer crust! I have said the growth of the Earth, as the Universal,...is Universally increasing EXPONENTIALLY, (faster with time.)Since the Earth molten under crust ran out of Granitic rock to differentiate upward, about 250 Million Years Ago, Basalt spreading is increasingly spreading beneath the deep oceans as well as under the continental plates. This is all very natural GROWTH indicators.

This hypothesis seems solid. The geometric demostrations are the most plausible, and it seems everything comes afterwards as an atempt to explain the rest. Which is a valid aproach, that is the same path the pangea continental drift hypothesis used. They saw the geometric similarity between the east coast of south america and the west coast of Africa, and found other explanations for the rest. In that vein, isn't it possible that the earth (and other celestial bodies) arent necessarely expanding in volume (letalone mass - which is a even harded assumption to reconcile to the best knowledge we have today) but rather, continents are crumpling together in ways that would match a projection of an expanding globe in the same way, but that in fact it is not expanding per-se, its just that as landmass clusters and contracts in certain stresspoints it looks as if it did expand? Perhaps there are small cycles of small expantion and contraction behind it, but across time the volume stays the same, just with some flunctuations, and that is what motivates the crumpling? I'm sayin this as a layman, just throwing and idea out there.
