The Frio River was one place that touched my soul when I was a little girl. I haven't been back since but I am always looking to go back soon. It has probably been 30-32 years. I can just remember that first jump into the 40 degree waters and it set me right. I remember that first sunburn and going over the waterfall wrong, too. Lol!

I spent half of my life going to Neal's lodges. One weekend, every three months for over 20 years. It's always so hard to leave. My grandmother used to go when they would have "boot scoots" down by the river. There's just no place like this. If you haven't been yet, your missing out.

Good ol pre diabetes food.I can’t have it because my sugar is too high right now.My doctor won’t let me eat much food until my A1C goes under 5.7.
