@@xmathmanx he’s not equating death to actual shelter, but talking about losing the spirit of what makes a place a home and there is a safety one can find in other people that feels like the safety of “home.” I understood that and didn’t remotely think he was talking about actual homelessness and its different hardships. Watching the suffering and death of a loved one is a very devastating hardship and it’s often hard to put into words the experience of that trauma. I don’t like your comment of “see if that’s like your mother dying at all.” Your form of suffering isn’t superior to others’ suffering and that attitude prevents necessary empathy. More simply, if you want us to care about you, you have to care about others. But then again, this is KZbin so chances are you’ve never been homeless but will be offended on their behalf.

Not having my child the majority of the time after the divorce sent me into the deepest darkest depression that still haunts me. Thus i indulge in podcast, and stand up comedy to do exactly what downton abby does for jimmy. Im sure the reason for the comedy boom being as long as this one is and the whole podcasting run and it only growing is do to alot of people like me just trying to make it through the day and somewhat sheltered from realitys in your life for awhile

Now I know if I don't let myself feel my feelings, it will just show up as pain later. Anyone curious about it? Just read Healing Back Pain. Like Carr's scoliosis aside, it won't fix a physical issue, but so many of us have pain with no physical cause.

I love when Jimmy talks about how grounding watching Downtown Abbey is. I think that people diagnosed with autism can often relate to this especially, using certain tools to regulate; e.g., a non-speaking autistic man explained that he uses children's toys to regulate. People falsely assume that he is therefore cognitively impaired. The reality is that this man is mentally stimulated by politics, but the toy calms his autistic nervous system. He couldn't outrightly explain himself before learning to communicate. This can obviously be true for all types of brains, but for certain people, the consequences of not being understood can place them in a prison.
