Dimensions of the tent are in inches, not feet 🤣🤣 my mistake 🤦♂️🤷♂️ 39 foot tall would be interesting though 🤣. All jokes aside it really is an excellent tent.

Thanks for this review. I picked this up on Prime Day with a plan to begin moto camping but not knowing anything about camping other than watching some KZbin videos. The fact that it was lightweight and taped (truly water proof) were the major selling points for me, and the rest was bonus. The engineering and thought put into this tent are terrific. Looks like I picked up a good tent. Can’t wait for it to cool off.

Just bought this tent, AND the ground sheet. Apparently your mod has since been implemented by Near Zero! I was thrilled to see my ground sheet included the clips you suggested. Thanks for helping make this a really awesome and highly configurable tent choice. UPDATE: I just noticed, while my footprint has the added straps, my rain-fly does NOT have any black straps on it. All 4 corners are red. I'm going to put a piece of black heat-shrink on the corners that should be black. :-/

Well done review. I have been backpacking for 30 years and have done some multi-month hikes with far heavier gear than what we have today. At one point, I owned the BA Copper Spur in a one-person version and I really like the design. I think this pretty much nails everything I like and at a fraction of the price. I went ahead and ordered one today.

I tested the tent under following conditions this night. Temp 7°C felt , Wind 2 km/h, Rain 0,0 l/m², air pressure 1.025hPa, humidity 97%, high fog at 6:00 in the morning. The vents were opened. The tent inside length is 1,99m. I have 1,78m. With my sleeping bag it was not possible to avoid getting contact to the fabric of the teint during sleeping on the foot side. The inside was completly wet (what is normal for single skin tents in this price range) and every time I touched the the end the water came down in little small "rivers". Its such a nice, well made tent but only for dry warm nights. The absides are cool for one person, I dont want to figure out how it is when it rains and additionly wind is blowing. If you you are smaller then 1,70m it may work also in wet conditions if you use towels. For this conditions here in North Germany it is not working for me.

Appreciate the review, really did an excellent job of showing off the features. Some of these non-major brands are really providing an excellent value! However, without any comparisons on weight, I believe it is unfair to say they are making the larger tent companies look silly. Big Agnes Copper Spur is at least half a pound lighter, with slightly more floor space.

See you addressed your rainforest issues for your set..lol . I took a Ozark trail tent in my trailer behind my goldwing when we rode the blue ridge parkway .the kind that folds out. We only used it once in Virginia, the misses didn't care to much on sleeping on a air mattress. So we spent 4 nights in a hotel. When and if I'm able to do the 4coners ride I might pull a pop-up camper. But your reviews are helpful if I decide to go out and explore the country side for a day or two when that time comes...happy trails

Only ample room if you use a 20” pad. Unfortunately, you cannot fit two 25” pads which have become a lot more common and popular in the backpacking world. I’m personally not a fan of tapered floors on tents. I understand it’s to do to reduce weight, but there are tense on the market that do not have a tapered floor and come in just as light if not lighter. The Nemo dagger two person tent has more floor space, can accommodate two 25” pads, and it’s 2oz less than this tent.

It's tough to see in the video but does the rain fly hang over the tent door enough to stop rain from dropping right in? You mentioned it acts like a gutter but appears as if it's right up to the tent. Great video and as I hunt for a tent this could lead the way over a "Big" name brand.
