Wow, when you ran through the pandemic timeline and all the moves I was in awe!! Thats A LOT!! I remember as you filmed it all but it seems like so much moving and work now that its been awhile and you listed it all out. Good luck in the hunt for a new place and downsizing. I downsized and clearanced to move and it did make me feel like there *could* be some breathing room in my next set up - as in reselling with less volume and less clutter, but making more money. I still have lots to learn and your motto is certainly a good one, its good to always be learning no matter what career we are in. Best wishes to you and now one to watch videos I've missed while unpacking and settling in myself hahaha.

This year has been tough for my business. Sales are down 35% compared to last year for me. Really has me reassessing my business and the future. It’s always exciting to see a car chat pop up, love hearing how your business is going.

a few years ago I decreased my store, did away with ebay and only have poshmark. became very picky about what I picked up. Reached the point that I only pick up what I know will sell for a minimum of $25, My life is less stressful. I found when I got picky, I actually found more good stuff. Just yesterday at the salvation army half price wednesday I found two johnny was, 2 salt life new with tags, and a handful of 100% linen (I sell year round in plus size) 5 100% cashmere sweater plus a bunch of other. Total of 25 pieces was $40 plus tax...I am not overwhelmed with a death pile, I can reasonably steam photo and list in a week (except the pure summer stuff I will hold off) one of the johnny was will pay for all of it, the rest is profit.

that is the wonderful thing about reselling. It is a business that is somewhat easy to make changes so that your business meets your personal needs. I have moved 4 times since I started reselling and I have not missed a beat with any of my moves. I plan to move one more time probably a little over a year from now. I want to take less stuff with me this time and since I now have a full time job as well I also want to sell less and make the same amount of money. There are so many business models to choose from and I'm glad I choose a side hustle that isnt one size fits all. I'm selling out my lower quality/priced inventory and only replacing it with items that will net me a higher profit. That way I make more money off of each sale.

My lease is over at the end of November. I too am downsizing and moving to a smaller warehouse and inventory. I went too big too fast and realized it is not what I want. I feel for you and completely understand where you are in your reselling business decisions. Happy to hear you are doing well.

Glad your not closing up shop. Hope you find a new space thar works for you. I never run auctions. But last weekend I put all my plush on auction to try and move it. I normally only have 4-5 sales a weekend. Last weekend I had 28 sales and only 12 were plush. So I over doubled mu usually sales. So definitely run auctions.

I’ve been enjoying making Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Coffee at home with my Keurig, the pods are pretty good, I doctor them up with a little stevia and a splash of coconut milk. My eBay sales are dead right now but I had one person give me a negative feedback claiming that a book that he purchased from me was not new, but it was most definitely so my 100% feedback lowered to 87% so I’m disputing it with eBay currently.😳Cheers, Pat

Sales on Poshmark and eBay have been good lately. I've had some very high profit sales on Poshmark in the vintage 90s and Y2K era. I sell clothing. eBay sales were slow for me for months and I noticed that after I turned on free returns, they started to skyrocket quickly. However, I've had 2 returns for fit within the last two days. I'm not sure if turning on returns was a good idea. I used to have it set to no returns. I hope you find a perfect new place for your business. I only use storage units to house my inventory but maybe I'll have an office or commercial space someday. I want to grow up to be like you, Denali haha.

For me, becoming a Top Rated Plus seller increased my sales by 50 percent. You have to accept returns and ship within 1 business day to get that ranking. I only have 3 percent returns and I can turn around and sell those items again, so not a big deal to me.

@@TheLaurieRo After only 13 sales, I've received 4 returns. I don't think it's worth it for me. I offer measurements and still get returns for fit. They think it's a try on service.

eBay’s search is broken. You search for a certain type of item and other items come up instead….plus, Numerous sellers are also finding out that their listings when clicked on, come up with an error message saying the listing is not able to be purchased. They have shown actual videos & shorts of this occurring! eBays IT dept have been implementing new artificial intelligence into program which is also flagging all kinds of items saying they are counterfeit……when they are not…so sellers are being combatted with all kinds of IT errors.

Many sellers are also experiencing days of zero sales, then all of a sudden a small burst of sales on certain days within a certain timeline, then it goes dead again. It’s almost like they are turning off stores on certain servers rotating them??? It’s too many of sellers experiencing this across the board to be a coincidence.
