Ultimate spiderman omnibus 1 was the first ommibus ive ever read and realistically my first ever spiderman story ive read after competing it i instantly pre ordererd the second then the thirst along with death of spider-man i havent cracked open the second ommibus but the first one i fell in love with 😂the day it came in i read the entire thing and was up tell 2 am to finish it

Got this pre-ordered. So excited cause through these Omnis it is my first time reading this run. It is so incredible. I have Death Of but I am waiting until I read this before that one. I don't like that they are doing a volume 5 when it will probably be very similar to Death Of but we will see. Take care and peace everyone.

My reading experience with USM was interesting, I chose the route of collecting the individual volume TPBs a few years ago and reading it that way. I had already known how the run ends, with his death, so the whole time I am reading and getting closer to the end I'm thinking to myself just how the hell we were going to get to that last fight, then I get to the last volume "Ultimatum" and finish that and think to myself "am I going crazy because I know this is not how it ends". Come to find out after some research that they relaunched it year later and I finally collected those last 4 volumes and got to the true end. That was a very fun year collecting and reading through the whole run for the first time, definitely would've saved ALOT of money just buying the omnibus' but I like having the different volumes and covers.

While I don't love LaFuente's art, it did grow on me, and that era is just so good. I especially love the stuff with Jonah near the end. It's my favorite version of him ever. I also love the emphasis on Peter being such a chick magnet, with Gwen, Kitty, and MJ all in love with him simultaneously.

Now we just have to see how they plan on handling the remaining Ultimate content... post-Ultimatum is going to either be very interesting or very disappointing. My own version of "Map My Webs" would have Volume 5 collect USM #150-160, Ultimate Fallout 1-6, Ultimate Marvel Team-Up 1-16, and USM Super Special #1. That's the most obvious and likely mapping. Calling it now.

Really looking forward to getting my copy of this. I have a standard cover preordered from CGN. IF they DO release a volume 5, I don't think I'd get it, really. I just... I mean the entire series is collected now? There'd have to be something... significant to convince me to get it if it mostly collects Ultimate Death of Spider-Man, too. I guess they could include the new Ultimate Spider-Man stuff in it, but I'm hoping to get those in their own run of books ( _Really hoping we get at least an OHC of the new issues, btw. I love it so far_ ).

I really wonder what Marvel will do with Vol. 5. I'm sure an Ultimatum omni with Ultimates 3, the main event, the march on Ultimatum lead in issues, tie ins, and requiem issues will happen as more Ultimate X-Men and FF omnis continue to roll out. I read the whole original Ultimate series earlier this year and really enjoyed it, it's been over a decade since I last read the whole series. I disagree with your thoughts on Gwen. It's not a sexy big moment, but it's more believable as far as ridiculous hero comics go. Gwen is just another civilian caught in the path of a serial killer. Humans die every day from being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and Bendis hit that perfectly with how Carnage kills Gwen and every other civilian in that story.

The mapping in this volume sucks with the inclusion of the relaunch crap. The original run should have been run through entirely to the end of the originsl book. I don't remember this garbage being before T.D.O.S.M issues. Didn't this relaunch happen a few yesrs ago? It seems recent. Is this Marvel showing greed once again by squeezing out another vol we have to purchase?

I'm glad Omar warns us of spoilers. I've been spoilt too many times that has stopped me buying a book. And fact correction. These issues of Ultimate Spider-Man came out in late 2006 onwards. Not quite 90 years. Restring your bow and check your facts first. Your aim is off.😘😉
