I love this artwork so much. Sure, it’s mostly just nostalgia for the comics I read as a kid. But it’s remained my favorite art style, even though I can appreciate some of the more recent art styles. I just really like the dynamic sequential storytelling that is often lost today, which can be beautiful as stand-alone art but not really the best graphic storytelling. I also like human faces that actually look like humans. 😅

Closer and closer to completing the Marvel Essentials run in omnibus format. This gets me through Vol. 7 and just barely into Vol. 8. One more to go for me (I never did manage to nab Vol. 9).

Hyped for this one, sadly I missed the latest prints of Vol 1-4 as I started collecting mid '23, but hopefully those titles get another reprint in the next year or two. *Doom on the spine* is worth the pick up alone

@dannyc8876 Honestly I even looked at it earlier without the penny dropping but yeah that's awesome news. There's a few collections I'm eager for another round of reprints for: From Marvel, *Amazing Spiderman Vol 2 & 3* by Stan Lee and also *Captain America* books 1 & 2 by Ed Brubaker to complete those runs to read & collect Also, DC to reprint *Knightfall Vol 3* to follow the upcoming Vol 2 Not sure how some collectors wait so patiently for years in hopes of some of these reprints but obviously I realise there's so many titles that different people are waiting on and limitations on releases

ATM I've got 60 or so Omnibus piled up which keeps growing weekly, so certainly have the backlog to keep me happy reading until holes in the reading orders can be filled to them read the sagas 🙂

The F F Fabulous Friends and Foes that appears at the end of one of the issues in the omnibus was in the original comic a four page glossy supplement that appeared in the center of that issue. It was an unusual occurrence of glossy pages inside a comic. I think it was something to do with allowing them to make some sort of claim about pricing across the line. There was a legal reason behind it for Marvel comics. I don’t think they included it just for the fans.

Please confirm Avengers Vol 6 and Xmen Vol 4 re release. Along with the Warlock coming in 2026 The only thing I want are 70s era Justice League and of course this one. TheJohn Bryne Omnis have most of the content I like from Fantastic 4 but I want the Marvel Two In One tie ins Omni too. What a time to be alive. Adam Warlock was one of the best reads in a while and inspired me to get Avengers Vol 6. Guardians of the Galaxy anyone? How about some Korvac. The basis of Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes is from this generation of Comics.

Kinda sad I started the Silver Age FF through the Epics as I am now switching to Omnis. I see Vol 1 is being reprinted next year, but I hope they reprint the other 3 as well.

I feel like a big mistake was made in the comics contained in this Omnibus. This is where Roy Thomas broke Johnny up with Crystal. and nobody ever corrected this mistake. Well Steve Engleheart tried but got smashed by editorial when he did.

I agree. I grew up with Quicksilver already married to Crystal, but that always seemed like a mismatched couple and not in an interesting way. Or I should say, no one ever did anything interesting with them.

Please! This is not a political comment, just a question. If terrifs are raised overseas, will these books have a price increase? 100 becomes 125, 125 becomes 150 or will they stay the same? Are books even part of any terrif increase, or are they immune? I have no idea, just a thought rattling around in my head.

I think everything is a “wait and see” at the moment, but I can’t see marvel raising prices on items already items already solicited.

@camilocuba6927 I used to pre-order books years ago but stopped due to inconsistency in delivery dates. Anyways I distinctly remember the Thing omni and Thor vol 4 getting a price increase even after I pre ordered them. The company hit my credit card for 5 to 8 dollars more months after I placed and paid for my order so with that being said I wouldn't bet on that. Food for thought though.

Interesting question - I think any product can be subject to a tariff, but my guess (hope anyway) would be books would be low on the priority list, but wood/paper can be a big deal, so - who knows I guess, but fingers crossed, that's for sure

@@deadmousyplutaprestige8771 that sounds like more of a retailer issue than Marvel itself, but you make a good point. Marvel may not raise the prices, but retailers may give less of a discount. Shipping is usually an estimate at the time of a preorder, so if shipping rates change next year, we may see it reflected when the orders ship.
