Great video and I can see all the hard work that went into it. One thing however (and I swear I don't want to do this, but I couldn't not notice it) the notes on the side of the screen have 'Legion Of X' listed as being written by Keiron Gillen when it was written by Si Spurrier. Please don't let this detract from this stellar video and I only mention this small issue out of love.

Thank you for this. I am quite lost on how to tackle this series after Trials of X since they stopped doing the of X series. Now I'm all over the place with no proper chronology. I'm not going to read everything leading up to Fall as there is just way too much and I don't have that much patiences, but I am glad to know what I should read leading up to Fall. Not sure I really want to do Immortal X-Men. There's just so many other X-Men stories to tackle. I ended up loving SWORD, so I will totally read X-Men Red. I was not a fan of Way of X, so I've got no interest in reading Legion of X. Knights of X is debatable. I got tired of Excalibur after a while and the story got a bit confusing after X of Swords. I loved the first Marauders series, but I don't really have an interest in reading a sequel, especially since it has a new writer. Will probably pass on Devil's Reign. Just not interested in it. X-Men is obviousy going to be a must read since it's the main story to the Krakoa stuf. I will skip the second Gala. I hated the first one. Since I've read everything of X-Force up to this point, I will probably end up continuing it even though it has been hit or miss for me. Same with New Mutants. Sins of Sinister is probably going to be a must read since I'm sure it advances the plot. Ugh, another Gala? YUCK!! Worse, it's a bit event? That sucks. Actually, what sucks about them not doing the Of X books is I can't just read all volumes of Red or regular X-Men. I have to stop to read the side content and then go back. Children of the Vault sounds kind of interesting. I really liked the young Cable series they did. That's kind of weird though that the Fall book is not the actual end. I know I sound like I dismissed a lot of the books, but I really do thank you for this list as it is going to help me once I start back up on reading the rest of Krakoa. I'm pretty much waiting until I finish the Claremont omnibuses before I go back to finish Krakoa.

Can you read HoX/PoX, X-Men by Hickman, and X of Swords OHCs and get a not-confusing self-contained story, without needing to read all the related titles going on at the same time (e.g. Marauders by Duggan, X-Force by Percy, Wolverine by Percy etc) ?

I would say yes. I'd compare it to missing a few episodes of a season of a TV show: You'll know what's going on but you might be confused on some of the minor details.

As a guy that has been reading X-men for 50 years, I Loved this era. I agree with Omar, X-men is like being in a relationship. Some good and some bad. I've seen my share of bad and I'm still here.

This is why no one cares to read X-men……there’s just tooooo much going on…..too many titles….you can say collect this read this run but the way these are written is to read EVERYTHING because then you’re lost as to why this team is set up this way and why the character is rogue (no pun intended) And then this all goes With crappy writing I have not enjoyed an X-men title since Whedon or Morrison…..Wolverine by Percy was a fun standalone run. The main X-men title was fun with Hickman, maybe Duggan or Gillen…but it’s just sad to be an X-men fan and rely on old stories to enjoy them because the new stuff is mediocre at best…..

Plenty of people love this era; no one cares is a weird blanket statement. Every Marvel and DC comic is this way, you can pick and choose to get the series you like. In the 90s I was on a limited budget and only got JLA and that was fun trying to figure out what was going on in Wonder Woman or Flash, because the characters were different. Morrison's X-men was awful, but that's a difference of opinion, because I love the Spurrier and Ewing books of Krakoa.

Any good X-men run that’s recommended is pre HoX/ PoX I don’t even recommend any new reader to jump into this run because there’s wayyyy to much. I push them onto whedons run or Grant Morrison. I’m glad this era is done but the new one is even worse

This is all tpb a million more books and jumping around more than his last video on it. It was really great on th start first 2 miniseries by Hickamn and main title. Sadly 90% of the rest is total garbage. That era brought X-men to the knees. And after Hickam log off from this mess it got eaven worst.
