Think it could put up with mahi, cobia, and king? I'd just be going a little bit past the second sandbar
@pitbullbred3053 жыл бұрын
That’s about as far as I went. Just deep enough for kings and mahi lol. I would say yes as long as conditions are ideal. Just be safe and wear your pfd. Pack light. Don’t take unnecessary weight as it will make ur paddle harder. Especially if u have an opposite wind and cross current. But I would still keep up with the peddle guys for a while lol. Rhythm is key. The deepest I’ve fished was 120 feet on this kayak.

I checked out the tefton, that seat is really nice. Looks comfortable. It weighs 53 pounds so that’s easy to move around alone which is great. The weight capacity is 275 pounds which is a little low. Consider ur body weight, 4 gallons of water for ur bait weighs 33 pounds. Add ur rods, tackle bag, water and food, and ice. That number climbs real fast so just be mindful and pack as light as possible brother. It’s awesome that it has gear tracks for a fish finder or a rod holder for the front. Looks like a good starter yak man! Congrats ! Let me know when u catch some fish and tell me how u liked it!

What made you enjoy fishing? And how often do you go out? Have you encounter a huge shark?
@pitbullbred3055 жыл бұрын
CHEF ADAM the idea of a life long memory being possible any second the bait is in the water keeps me addicted to fishing. I’ve spoken with old timers that remember certain fish and everyone that was with them and every detail. It’s a hunt and a challenge to do better and catch bigger!

Got the exact kayak and want to take it into the bay. How does this kayak handle the ocean in your opinion?
@pitbullbred3055 жыл бұрын
alan mangindin hey man, I only used this kayak in the ocean and have no complaints and full confidence. in the bay u shouldn’t have problems. I’ve paddled out in the ocean against the wind and the kayak is light enough to power paddle through the breakers. U will get wet tho but that’s inevitable kayaking. the scuppers will drain the water quickly. I feel this kayak is ocean capable. I’ve done it repetitively and never flipped, not even while beaching. Always lay your rods down when beaching however. It doesn’t have a rudder, so turning and drift direction is manual. Not the hardest thing to do. A 15 dollar drift sock can fix that. It’s pretty fast due to its light weight. You sit a little high on this kayak but as long as you keep your head in the borders of the kayak you will be fine. On a flat day I actually stood up and paddled a half mile from the beach toward the ocean. It’s stable, light, and u can always add a second batch in the rear. I still paddle this kayak in the beach for tarpon and in rough surf just for fun.
