I don’t understand the hate for ND. People always saying they’re underrated. ND almost always plays a fairly challenging schedule and they are usually ranked where they should be maybe a little above. Sure the fans can be a**holes sometimes but which fanbase doesn’t have fans like that. There’s a negative bias around ND that is very misinformed.

As an Alabama fan I surprise my fellow Bama fans by saying I root for ND (unless they’re playing Bama of course). I want to see Notre Dame competing for national championship. Their history is too important to college football for them to be irrelevant. The problem Notre Dame has is they’re probably at about their ceiling. It’s different than it was in the 70s and 60s when you had so many scholarships to give out, plus their academic standards mean they’re never going to be able to stockpile the athletes of an Alabama, an Ohio State, Georgia and Oklahoma, etc. 10-12 wins is probably their ceiling

I might be biased because I’m from Miami and went to school at The U, but, even if you think they were “villains “, college football is better when Miami is better and 20 plus years without a title just doesn’t sit well with not just me , but many causal fans .

Start living in the real world. A lot of college sports use polls, not just college football. Basketball, hockey, baseball, softball all use polls

I’ll be happy if Notre Dame never wins another game much less a National Championship. A bunch of Prima donnas & are usually way overrated. They should join a conference, but not the SEC.

Overrated? Last year they were predicted to go 9-3, guess what they went. 9-3!! If they were rated a long side Bama and Georgia then they'd be over rated. Haven't been overrated since the 90s.
