What a phenomenal finish to Necathon. I'm so happy we got these figures at all, seeing Neca tackle each different Godzilla figure they put out you could really track how much better they were getting as a company. I wish I had gotten my hands on the black & white 54 goji, the Tokyo SOS, and the KOTM, but aside from that Neca has always made the most fun godzilla figures in my collection to play with.

The eye paint on mine is substantially better than yours thankfully. Also glad my roar still works (even if the fin activation is a bit wonky). Really a magnificent figure. The paint may look off in direct bright light but looks great in regular light. A very charming figure I'm glad I was able to get.

I wonder if Neca would ever make a comeback to the kaiju figure scene. The last time they make one is probably that borderline 1933 Kong. Would love to see Neca doing dem old, niche, or underappreciated IPs. Imagine Neca Rhedosaurus, Gorgo, Yongary, Yonggary (Reptilian), Pulgasari, Daimajin, Reigo etc. The kaijus that Bandai would never care for. After all Neca has been doing some Universal Monsters, so maybe leaning towards the retros and niche would be a perfect comeback for Neca to making kaijus. They don't have to do the latest, mainstream IPs (Goji and the gang) to do kaiju figures. Especially when Toho just kept dropping the "No" to their visions.

From what I understand a lot of restrictions were lifted once they were able to directly communicate with Toho. A lot of their earlier asks seemed to get shut down as they had to communicate through WB to get to Toho, I imagine Toho bar-none likely didn't want a Ghost Godzilla or a Marvel Godzilla getting made, which is quite hilarious with Super7 doing what they're doing. I imagine much has changed since the NECA days lol If they were to ever return to making Kaiju figures, I don't know where they'd even go. Seems they didn't have hope in much beyond Godzilla designs. Kidrobot has made Ultraman stuff quite a bit since NECA lost the license, and yet NECA hasn't touched it. I dunno how legalities work, but NECA owns KidRobot. Thought We would've seen some Utlraman through that little IP share. But I guess not. They're a funny batch. Wouldn't mind if they just reissued all of their Pacific Rim stuff at this point... sorely missing many of those offerings.

Yea, I missed on all of their Kaijus, except Axehead. It was released when I was a kid and too much for my parents to buy me some. But now I can waste my own money, so Neca please bring them back. Would look nice next to Lingjihun. Speaking of which, do you have any interest in Lingjihun's PR line? Their Gipsy seems to be the perfect package, and they're on the same scale as Neca and DST

10 year old figure!! 🎉🎉🎉 Seeing 0:10 really gave me a blast of nostalgia. I remember that I (and many for sure) was anticipating in a new Godzilla for the first time and it was real epic. I just couldn't wait; I was so excited. And the merch and promotions that were going around were cool. The marketing wasn't as big as 98 goji (it should've been) but it was enough to make Godzilla was actually alive again. Unfortunatly I never got any of the figures back then. Even this Giant Neca goji was at the Toys R Us I went to which I always marveled at. But at least I was there to watch an amazing movie and witness the birth of a new Godzilla series. 🦖 And also RIP NECA Godzilla.

I still have this big boy right next to my TV. I'm not sure which version I have of him, but his sound chip still works great. My only complaint is his tail pops out way to easily. Still one of my favorite figures! While I love my KKK SHMA, this figure brings back memories of those old Jurassic Park electronic T Rex figures from my childhood.

I know I’m 3 weeks late, but I have a question for the people of the internet. I am a proud owner of this glorious action figure, and I absolutely L O V E it. But it had one flaw. The tail will NOT STAY ON. I had to glue it, which held for maybe a year and a half, but just a few days ago, it started to loosen. I don’t know why my figure’s tail won’t stay on. More importantly, am I the only one with a figure of this exact model whose tail won’t stay on? Please help me out. Any explanation or help would be greatly appreciated.
