Still my favorite Neca Godzilla. Part of that is my love of the original film (1954, but same sculpt) but the colors pop and they really nailed this likeness in particular

I just got this figure today at my local Target. NECA must have revised this release, 'cause the one I have has the movie title on the backdrop, whereas all the ones I've seen in video reviews from last year lack the movie title on the poster backdrop.

Same I just got mine today from amazon and it had the title in the back. Also notice that the coloring is different and the jaw is fixed

This is nice from Neca but I can't wait till they get the ultimate Pinhead on the shelf. What would be really awesome is if they got the rights to do some ultimate Sandman figures from Neil Gaimans comics.

i... kinda dislike the 56 version. not the design on the poster. that's great. but the original film was about the (justified) horror of nuclear war. the american dub removed that aspect, likely because they didnt want us to feel guilty for doing it. but in doing so, what's left? just a giant monster destroying a city. and not even really going into the impact it had on civilians. just the one new character shoehorned into the dub. nuclear war should be preached against, it should be vilified. and being made by the first and (hopefully) only country to have experienced it firsthand..... yeah it felt disrespectful.

Um... nope, this is based on the 1956 American re-release poster. Almost a completely different film, with 30 minutes of unnecessary Americanized bs that makes him more goofy than scary

Sorry bud but it actually IS 1956. Like Andre Degiant said it’s a figure based off of the Americanization of the original 1954 Godzilla. Hence why it’s called Godzilla, King of the Monsters. And also NECA didn’t make a Ghidorah. They only made a Rodan, Mothra, Godzilla, and the various recolors of the three. SH Monsterarts made a ghidorah tho.
