I’m pretty sure the turtles in disguise set was $125 and it had a ton of accessories. Every 4 pack since then has been like $150. The new mirage set and the premutation set don’t have many accessories.

That New 4pk was Neca's Price Gouging coming out party. I had that sht in my cart, thinking it was cheaper than "the disguise 4 pk". Smh,, All cause it didn't have cloth extras & didn't even have different paint. I was thinking $119.99 max. Ohhh No! I told the clerk to put that back. It's the same figure ×4 !!! An it cost more than the Disguise 4pk w/ All the Extras! I couldn't believe that comic 4pk. Price. Now they want $300, +$18 w/ shipping & + Tax for something I can kinda duplicate (after days of work) w/ A Free Wheaties Box from Walmart (which work great btw for comics & McFarlane fig boxes). Anyways,, Neca knows we all want the lair.. That's why they Jacked that sht up an extra $100+.

I only collect a few lines now and I sold all my NECA TMNT a while back to just collect the Mech TMNT figures from Heat Boys but I thought about getting the sewer lair with the main cast for display but at $300 that is a huge no. And you have to get the Toon accessory set just to get their tv too and that’s another $50 or so. So this could be like $400 with shipping and the extra set. And that’s just the living room lol.

I think it's wishful thinking to assume that prices will come down. Either people will buy it or they won't but if not the hint is going to be that there's not a market for this stuff at the price point they consider viable. It is what it is.

Justin I’m with you bro… that’s an insane price. I paid $112 for each of my movie street scenes. That has more to offer than this shoe box. As far as the transformers yes it’s true. Replicas and third party transformers over seas ask way way too much. I have been a past 6 year collector. Unique toys being by far the best, but pricey to the point it isn’t worth it. Magic square and TE are crazy expensive too not to mention so many others. I got out because it was ridiculous. I got quite a bit while I was in to it, but didn’t get complete character sets which I would have liked. Said that to say this… I’ve collected these turtle lines from Neca since day one cause as a childhood fan we never got these amazing replicas. Under no circumstances though am I going to fall into another PRIC GOUGE COMPANY THAT IS TOO GREEDY FOR THEIR OWN GOOD. Y’all I’m done if this is future pricing. I was already skeptical of the last price hike. RIP NECA for this guy… IM OUT. Keep it up Justin love the vids. Take care.

McFarlane as much a he may be doing switchbait crazy cashgrabs now. That said he bumped up toy manufacturing the look detail and quality. Before that a great detailed figure was rare. His price points used to be awesome for sculpture qualify figures. Now all the companies prices everywhere are insane.

Neca can re release anything. They just choose not to. Because they don't want to upset the market prices. They gained a lot of customers that buy product as an investment, or as quick flip. Yeah I can't buy the lair at that price. Outrageous. Mcfarlane is useing the old Toybiz like business model with variants to chase. Its exploitative but if they sell all the variants it pays for the unique moulds.

Diorama street scene was 150 for the toon version. But I could find the regular one for 100. I still see regular street sets for 115. At 300, I would rather buy 3 street sets and start building a whole city scene. Or maybe even try customizing a sewer scene out of the street walls.

My proposal so that they do not say that everything is hate, and that I think that then I could justify the 300 dollars or at least I justify it to myself with everything and that it would be official:} • The main sewer that they are selling us for the living room/tv • The sewer that they showed us at conventions where they could put the van or use it for another room, dining room or something like that. • the big sewer where we first saw the Rat King just for that character, Letherhead or the mousers... something like that • A meditating Master Splinter figure exclusive to the set • A roof with sewer entrance to connect it with the other set And only in this way this could be a $300 dlls playset.

Neca figures take up to half a year from initial release to get to store shelves where I live. A lot of their figures are like $40 and you need to shell out even more if you want to get them before they hit shelves. No other action figure company that I know of does this. Seriously, why don’t they have an online store or vendor that doesn’t overcharge you and will actually ship out once the item is released?

I just went through my old emails and the Cartoon Street Scene Diorama (24x18x13") cost $149.99 plus shipping in 2020 the regular street Diorama costs $135 at BBTS This sewer measures 25x12.75x15" so it's less plastic and you want to charge twice as much? Cats' Lair closed 29.3x37x33.5", 3 times the amount of plastic and with much more details and accessories $650 Origins Snake Mountain Playset closed 26.92x14.3x9" almost the same amount of plastic and accessories $85 The person who priced this diorama is tripping

Yeah, I used to collect Spawn figures in the 2000's. He had lots of repaint/re-releases to double & triple dip peeps with. He's been doing this for decades now.
