I had no idea this thing was actually smaller and more consistent with scale to the Dog Alien from Alien 3. This is perfect. I much prefer this to the Ultimate Dog Alien.

If anything I think the Dog Alien should get a re release in this size, I never thought that Alien should be basically the same size as a normal Xenomorph basically just laying down

I would love to see Neca finally tackle the King Alien in two forms: the classic Kenner version and the Sideshow Toys statue design which has become my personal favorite Alien design, more so than the Queen since that version of the King fixes some design issues I have with the Queen. plus, it would be really neat to see the King in figure form with that almost forest green paint scheme.

Yes! even though I guess the King Alien isn't a true Alien as it was Lab made I would love if NECA could do a King Alien and at some point I think it would be awesome to have the King Alien in a Live action Alien movie, maybe an ALien vs Predator movie so we don't always have to go back to the idea of using a Queen

@@TheReviewSpot plus, the benefit of doing 2 versions is that we would get both the Sideshow based design and the classic throwback to the Kenner figure that would be a great companion with the Flying Queen. just to clarify, when I mentioned the King, I wasn't referring to the Rogue version but the statue design that was done by Sideshow Toys. which I think was an evolution from the Rogue version as far as the story is concerned, but that design is still amazing. and the fact that both the Sideshow design & the Kenner version both had green colors to them, they would be a great duo project for Neca and an awesome way for you to cover both figures.

I'm really surprised we haven't gotten anymore Kenner Themed Aliens, its like NECA doesn't want to produce anymore of them cause I'd be open for a Flying Queen I think I even had the original one when I was a kid

It's a great figure for sure and I was suuuuper close to buying it this past weekend. I just thought the price was a little steep considering it didn't come with any accessories.

I hear ya, figures across the board seem to be going up in price, NECA figures here in Canada are about 50 maybe alittle more than 50 now which I do think is high but its hard because I love the Alien franchise, I think I'd be more swayed to spend the money on a new Alien than I would spending the same for a Marvel Legends which aren't that much cheaper actually, I don't mind giving NECA my money, at least when I have it for figures lol Thanks for watching the review Tristan, have the review of the Prowler Alien coming up today if you wanted to check it out!

One thing about the Runner is that it is the class name give to the dog alien in video games, he's been called runner since the old AVP games, and he's supposed to be smaller than the regular drones, so it does make sense that the runner would be smaller than those two, even the dog alien perhaps.

Yeah you're right its a very generic name giving to a different designed Alien, maybe they could have called them Pack Aliens or Hunter Aliens or something other than going with a name thats sorta already attached with Dog Alien Thanks for watching the video Raptros Pt

Yes! always will love the stuff they are doing with the Movie tied in Xenomorphs there are just too many cool designs out there to not make figures into, I'd like to see what NECA could do with a Raven Xenomorph just looked at the one that Hiya put out not too long ago and its got this really neat decayed look to it but yes more Video Game Aliens please NECA

Love it! Love the size! Makes the Cougar/Panther aliens look like what they are… Fugly! I am looking at the dog for a diorama, this(Runner) is more what I want. Small, concealable.

I like that these ones are slightly more smaller than the other running Aliens, these ones I just picture them attacking in packs, like Raptors or Wolves, they're weaker maybe but because there's so many of them coming at you at once, they benefit from the numbers which make them even deadlier! They are a tad smaller but I don't think that should deter you from wanting to pick them up, they have just as much sculpted detail and paint work to some of the larger Aliens, plus I do kinda like the idea of having on my shelf Aliens of varying sizes so that they all don't look like the same mold

Didn’t think about it that way. I have about 20 alien figures, which includes the queen and 2 rhinos. And they are definitely larger than the rest. I would have more room in my display case for something smaller. Thanks Spot. I really want the Prowler anyway.

It actually makes sense that they are smaller, runners have always been kinda small even smaller than the Dog alien from Alien 3 they are supposed to be based on.

Been waiting for this one, although I’m not a fan of the game, played it for an hour on gamepass and it was way too repetitive for me, but that’s one killer Xenomorph design, wanted it for the shelf since I saw the first pictures a few months ago. Something just so grossly appeasing about it, strangely looking at the in-game model isn’t as appealing as looking at it in figure form, but it’s a buy from me.

I haven't had a chance to try the game out yet, what part about the game seemed repetitive? is it that you're just walking around and shooting the aliens or is it also that the levels are set up similar too? I have to say I do like the look of this Runner Alien, seems like a cross between a Dog alien and a ProtoAlien

@@TheReviewSpot Yeah it was just corridor after corridor alien after alien, stop and let this thing charge or whatever and fend off a wave, then more corridors of aliens, rinse and repeat. It wasn’t a terrible game, but even with friends I just don’t see people sitting there for hours playing it. None of the areas stood out as being interesting or different, the gunplay was ok but it lacked punch, just seemed like a bit of a waste of a great IP really like Colonial Marines was. And no worries always love the reviews man you’re my go-to especially for anything NECA, have a good day spot!

Yeah I think that's the problem really with games like that, fun for the first little bit but when you're doing the same thing over and over, rinse and repeat the game can get tiresome, even the games I grew up playing in the arcades, you can only beat up or blow up so many drones before you're just hoping for something else to show up on the screen Thanks again for watching the review and stay tuned for more!

I'm not sure what Alien movie I like but for me, I would go Alien vs Predator because the Predators are badass with tech like weapons they use even though the Aliens can kill them easily with their mouths, tails, etc. Cool figure and looks accurate to the movie as always, Fantastic review.

me too, the smaller jaw looked off a bit when I first saw it but it has an almost toddler kind of sculpt to it, I think I'd like to get a couple more runners and have them displayed as smaller drones around the Alien Queen

Rhino alien etc. But this runner is a FANTASTIC looking Alien! I actually like it better than the Alien 3 one. Again, your careful attention to details help us out here!

@@TheReviewSpot its pretty fun to play with friends if you don't mind games where you play the same maps repeatedly. I play it off and on when I feel like shooting up some aliens. Also like the way you can change perks around on your characters to help change things up a bit. They keep adding stuff to the game also like game modes, weapons, characters and perks

NECA is beginning to ask too much for their Xenos. The first ones were $16, now they’re over $40. An increase is understandable, but more than double what they used to be???

I know they're prices are going up but it seems the case with a lot of Toy companies right now. NECA figures in Canada for me are around 53.00 but Marvel Legends figures are close to being 50 too and at least I would say NECA you're getting unique mold figures, Marvel Legends so many of them are slight tweaks to the same mold

you know, the way the brown paint looks on this Elite Runner Alien, it kind of looks like chocolate. of the 4 Aliens Fireteam Elite figures that Neca is releasing, the Prowler is the one I'm looking forward to the most. this figure I may pick up after watching this review since the Night Couger & Panther doesn't interest me after seeing them up close and the Burster looks really neat as the other one that I may pick up as well, but the Spitter so far looks like the weakest figure in the series. despite Aliens Colonial Marines being a really bad game, I did like the design of the Spitter Alien from that game. looks more interesting in terms of it's overall design than the Fireteam Spitter.

could you imagine an Alien made out of chocolate, I guess the moment it got hot it would melt, probably not much of a threat then lol. I really like the look of the Runner but so far of the two figures I've looked at the Prowler is my favourite its got such a cool looking headsculpt and the red colour they went with sorta makes it look like a Devil Alien or a Fire Ant.
