NECA Ultimate Alien Big Chap Review

There wasn't a previous Ultimate version of the Big Chap with accessories, but there was one that used the Ultimate body articulation. I've got it. It's nice, but having seen this one in person now, I'll have to pick it up before long. It's a definite improvement, especially the dome. NECA's done a lot of trial and error with the dome, and I think this one strikes the right balance.

I donno what people are complaining about... I'm really happy they darkened the front of the dome! My main issue with most Alien Big Chap figures is that they make the dome way too transparent, and the skull way too visible, that was my main issue with NECA's older ones, and the S.H. MonsterArts one... Yes I get that people want to see the detail of the skull, but it's barely visible in the movie, if at all... this just feels so much more accurate to the creature we see on film !

The 35th anniversary and the NECA Alien Big Chap 40th Anniversary Collection Series 3 Walmart version has the more accurate foggy dome,

I love these Ultimate releases, as a huge fan of the original movie, this one is just superb. I’m very keen to see where Neca will go with future releases (the Back To The Future ones look absolutely stunning).

I wish the knees were on a sort of ratchet joints. It seems like it's always a matter with the knees slowly collapsing over time.

Mine broke like a day after I got it... The legs are plugged together and were really stiff, I tried to open them up a bit and got unplugged. After that, they never plugged again. Probably got a defective one.
