Bit of a dinosaur myself, so I'm very into what is happening here. The Turtles first came out during a very difficult period of my childhood and were lifesavers. These are wonderful toys, flaws and all. Solid review as always, thanks again! 👍

Definitely one of my favorite too, especially for this year, it's currently number one. The Pizza Monsters are also in my favorites, but the legs not being tight enough hold them back... just think of the Pizza Monsters with this type of aesthetic... a grittier, black wash look to them... oh no am I gonna have to get another and try that? Haha

I grew up with the 90s cartoon and loved the execution on the movie turtles. These really thread a needle combining all the texture and details of the movie line with the linework and saturated colors of the cartoon figures. It makes a really kinetic result thats super satisfying to me. Between these and the archie comic figures, its a cool display

I’m not really collecting the comic figures just because I don’t have much room left, and there’s other figures I want. That said, I’m SO happy they’re making figures based on Return to New York. Absolutely one of, if not my favorite stories from the Mirage continuity. That first Volume of TMNT was Turtles at their best.

The truth is, even though I grew up with the cartoon TMNT I prefer the comics aesthetics. So for me it's comics, cartoon, game and live action movies. I agree with your critics and I love this figure, thanks for the reviews Anthony.

I definitely like the grittier Turtles from thes comics better because they're willing to actually throw down. That's what I liked about The Last Ronin. You saw Raphael just demolish an entire group of Foot Ninja by himself. And yes, the gritty Turtles artwork is just so good.

When I got Zog, he instantly shot up toward the top of my favorite action figures list... maybe I should actually try and make that list 🤔 I think the joints on mine must be a bit better than yours. And I feel like considering the bulky nature of the figure, I think the articulation is great. Love the figure and good review.

I wish these Neca Mirage figures had been released before the Playmates cartoon figures - I would have been happier with a core set of these, rather than hundreds of "non-canon" figures and variants......

When I was a kid, my cousin and I had **TONS** of Ninja Turtles action figures between us - like most boys who grew up in the '90s lol I mean, it was ridiculous. Like, maybe 100-120 figures between the two of us. But for the life of me, I don't remember this guy… õ｡Ô And I *would have* remembered him considering that he's a freakin' humanoid triceratops - probably my favorite genus of herbivorous dinosaurs as a kid... Was he a comic book exclusive... or did they actually have him on the cartoon from the late '80s/early '90s?

Really dumb question: How can you feel the difference between nylon on usual PVC? Is it texture or how soft the plastic is?

Nylon is softer and more flexible, it doesn’t take pigment as well as PVC, that’s why nylon often looks duller compared to PVC. Nylon is often used for joints.

No. Nylon is hard. Pvc is soft. You can't paint nylon but it can be any finish from glossy to flat.
