if you take the last theory, it would make sense why the King Jarvan had a leblanc quote, Leblanc was the penitent squire all along, that's why she was the only one to come back, then she went to the King, started the research party, then she lead Lord Buvelle to an ambush so he would get killed, then she helped to "rescue" Jarvan IV which would get the "penitent squire" some sort of recognition to get her either in the dauntless vanguard on in any other high position so she could get closer to the King during the mage revolution to kill him, this is some 5D Chess right there.

The Squire always looked odd to me, and after this I have a theory... Bear with me its kinda long: The art choice is so odd on her card, everything on Demacia has this lightsource, even the ones at night, but the squire's is all dark and grey-ish, doesn't really fit with the others. So, IF she is the card that "starts" that story AND she is the one who not only survived but didn't get captured, she can be a spy or maybe even Leblanc herself... Every other card the squire is on, she seems kinda shady, out of place. Also, if Jarvan's is the last one, why isn't she there?! She is a squire, thats what she does... mainly when they talk about honor in her card. the other thing I think its odd is her necklace, its blue and fits with demacia, but they seem to make it a big deal when they draw her, when she has an armor and could easily have it hidden, if it is precious/valuable I mean. I know i will get flag about it but everyone on runeterra from our perspective IS a mage. That's why Sylas is pissed on Demacia any way. Just look on someone like Ezreal that can use magic gauntlet. I mean i don't see intreface on this thing so how it operates. Even piltover use magic items to power up their inventions. Hell one of Sylas stroy line shows that Ice Born ARE mages, because in that story he stole one of the Ice born their abilty to be resistant to cold. @@zerlichr426 you are right in that sense. Every one of them probably have magic in them just not at the same "level". It was the Rune Stones that formed Runeterra (lit. Magic Earth) and since they were pure magic it makes sense that what they created is also magical meaning what they created (Runeterra) continued to create races and this would mean that they all would have some sort of magic inside them. We can also look at the Sand Magic in this topic. Why? It was told that some of the Shurimans knew how to do sand magic (a gift they were born with) but others learned it (from Azir for example). Meaning. Magic is inside them all. Some already knew it naturally, some learned it because Azir decided to teach them for his own reasons. Magic is Runeterra and Runeterra is magic. Everything on it is also magical. That makes sense. But when we say mage we mean someone practicing magic. Not someone having the potential to practice it but someone who does practice it. Meaning using magic.

We know the king was about to pass legislation that would essentially disband the mageseekers, which would mean Tiana would lose a lot of political power. And we also know Tiana was in charge of the king's personal guard. So while Xin Zhao was away, she could command her soldiers to kill the king and frame Sylas.

I have a theory of who could be either traitor or possessed by Leblanc. Tianna crownguard. She disdains magic and her husband is the top mage seeker. Leblanc is like this evil side-character from tv shows. Simple "bad guy" of the series but in background she is pulling all the strings like main antagonist or evil personified.
