What if poros originated in Freljord, then some got to Ionia by accident on Ivern the Cruel's ship. They aren't exactly nature destroyers, so Ionia's nature spirit wouldn't punish them and they wouldn't have problems surviving and multiplying. Then, they could further spread by jumping on some Noxian ships during the invasion on Ionia and from there on they would just multiply all across Valoran. I mean it hasn't been long since the invasion but if poros survived through Freljord conditions, it's possible they multiplied so easily and quickly.

Just a minor theory, but what if at one time braum, was a poro herder, think about it, the line in mighty poro's text sounds like something that braum would say, and he has lots of poro's on him in his upgrade, like he knows them, also, I just was braum to be a poro herder. Here’s my theory: poro’s are smart, so smart in fact they they are almost match the intelligence of yordles like hermindinger and are waiting for the perfect time to take over human civilization using their cuteness. They have tough hide that can only be pierced and they know spells that make them much cuter and let them absorb all magic. Since they exist all over runeterra they have passed down wisdom from the old civilizations such as the old yeti, Shurima, Targon, and almost every other place on runterra they have been living on the shadow Isles since it was the blessed Isles and they are capible to charm the damed with thier vast amount of magic, few poros have ever been killed but when they are they hold vast amount of magic. Their plan is to make runeterra theirs and to stop all violence using any means necessary, including violence, but only when told to, or when fought. They plan on charming humans to get things for them, eventually finding all runes and using Aurelian sol to close rifts along with distoying the watchers

If you look at the background of the "Heart of the Fluff", you see a bird dropping poros. If they are able to somehow influence the wildlife and make birds carry them around, that would also help them survive in any climate. Also it's a nice trick in battle.

I know this is an older video, but there are some facts that I wanted to mention: First, there is some information in one of the "Ask Riot" articles, where someone asked how Poros taste. The article first described a tasty looking meal with a cooked Poro on it. The man ate the meal, while the narrator told the reader how it tasted. then there was a long, very detailed description of a feeling that comes from his stomach. Something bashes from the inside of the mans belly and finally a it bursts out of his chest. Drowning in his own blood, with a huge hole in his chest, the last thing he sees are cute little fluffy animals looking at him and licking his nose. If everything is canon, and I mean EVERYTHING, including this "Ask Riot" article, then we can count this information as valid. So in conclusion: Poro's are undying creatures (or creatures that can only die due to age), which will reproduce by splitting themselves like cells if they are big enough (feeding Porosnax to Poro's on the Howling Abyss) or if they get "wounded" badly. This would mean that it is pointless in "cutting them in half" because you would just make 2 smaller Poro and it is impossible for them to die through magic like the one from the shadowisles. Also, this would (besides their very thick fur) explain why they can survive in the Freljord. So, Poro's are basically the perfect being... and that is a fact

theory : when poro s get hurt or gets killed he turns into dust like monsters from undertale 2nd theory: poro s has special magic around them that charms any1 so they dont get attacked 3rd theory: poro doesnt get affected by demacian steel bc. they have diffrent type of magic

They might be magic creatures that draw energy from innocence, love and dedication. The adoring fans of Daring Poro allows it to survive being shot from a cannon. Sinister Poro was a normal Poro when the "monks"(?) of the blessed isle went to the Frejord to retrieve a dangerous artifact. However a monk became obsessed with the cuteness of poros so he took one home to keep as a pet. But then the ruination corrupted the monk, and like how Kalista became obsessed with betrayal. The monk became obsessed with his Poro. This dedication gives the Sinister Poro energy, allowing him resist the mist. And that's what the ghost behind Sinister Poro is doing, trying to protect his obsession. And/or they are mainly just pets. Pets to the yetis and pets to humans. That's how they mainly survive. Like how certain breeds of dogs would not survive in the wild, like Pugs or wiener dogs. It's also the reason they are found everywhere, like cats and dogs.
