I remember the satanic panic in the 80's but was not aware of term or how serious it was. Never saw anything in the media about it and neither did my parents. I even DM'd my mom when I was like 10 and she indulged me, God bless her lol She even started calling me her Halfling. My only exposure to the so-called Satanic Panic was when we invited 2 of our friends, who were brothers, to play DnD with us they told us their mom won't allow them to play. They also went to private school and weren't allowed to trick or treat either, so we figured it was some religious thing. Later in my teens we had a very religious kid in our party who always played a cleric or paladin, always lawful-good but the best part was his deity. He refused to pick a God from Deities and Demigods and just put down God. lol So we all sat down with the DM and figured out how "God" would work as a DnD deity and how he interacts with his devotees. We took a lot from the Old Testament and figured out all his stats, pros, cons, and character bonuses along with requirements (like his clerics must refuse to go into a temple dedicated to another god and if they encounter the poor or sick, he must help - his paladins cannot kill a fleeing enemy etc.) We even created some new spells and skills like walking on water and evangelical grip (he could preach to a small crowd and hold their undivided attention for 1 round per exp level) It was a lot of fun to take on that challenge and he took the stats with him to other games and the dms allowed it.

Rob, you are easily the best DM I have ever had the chance to see. I have been watching this series since the beginning, I wasn't a DM before (only a player), but after watching all of these episodes, and trying to learn by watching what you do......I decided to venture into the world of DM'ing, and, as such, I would love to see how you adapt to when your players go off script. I think I can adlib fairly well (when needed - basically, all of the time), but I still feel that it is - incomplete - when I do. Have you made any videos/guides on how you learned, or how you do it now?
