The Newcrons are rather lame and i dont like the new direction taken. It feels rather insulting to destroy the original creation and turn them into tomb kings in space.

@@krel3358 The Necrons were always meant to be the sci-fi version of undeads. So the idea of making them into "Tomb Kings... but in space!" makes perfect sense to me.

@@rosesareredbutzerglingssti9290 My point is not that that are space undead being the problem. the Problem is that basically turning them into Zany robot people who turned the C'tan into pokemon completely desecrates the old lore and is essentially character assassination and a lack of creativity while trying to artificially inject some type of superficial humanization to the necrons by making them as extreme and wacky as possible. It shows even in the art style comparison where the old Necrons were just utilitarian killing machines that were alien and unknowable that they even freaked out CSM. The modern necrons in their art feel like one step removed from Teletubbies or World of Warcraft. All they had to do mind you to have both bits is make it so that the Old Necrons that were encountered were just Tomb Worlds enslaved by a very powerful Ascendant shard of the Night Bringer.

@@krel3358 The C'Tan are not pokemon. They are dangerous energy life forms. And Chaos *_always_* was the true enemy here. Having two eldritch and highly dangerous enemies in the same setting makes no sense. Remember: the Necron are a Games Workshop creation, not yours. They have all right to alter the setting the way they want. And you are the only one here disliking the new Necrons.

Do you plan on making a reading of the scene where frodo asks sam why they should even bother to go on. Propably one of the most powerful pieces in all of literature.

Considering how the eldar react to Pariahs, the necrons sealing away the warp is probably apocalyptic to them. Without it, their entire civilization collapses, so it definitely a highly biased viewpoint.

I mean if the Necrons seal away the warp everything with a soul kinda drops dead or becomes a zombie( a lesson the imperium learned the hard way when they entered the pariah nexus)

@@pepperjack3777 Which is annoying because they haven't made a story or update on the status of that storyline where they had Robutte Guillieman joining in (or at least penned as arriving to investigate it). Instead there are no books on that and the most we have is that written in the codex or whatever for the Necrons/Adaptus Mechanicum book for line 10. Would rather look forward to seeing that story fleshed out since the Tyrannids and Space Marines has largely been drawn out and the Necrons vs Sisters of Battle, Mechanicum, and an Actual Primarch, let alone Chaos lords joinging the fray, is more attractive for renewing fan intrigue with new story.

GW makes a point of establishing that Chaos is THE single greatest threat. The Tyranids, Orks, Tau, etc are dangerous enemies, but Chaos represents a threat to not just humanity, but life itself, and indeed the very concept of existence. However, it also always comes with the caveat of "but that's only because the Necrons remain asleep". If they rise en masse, there's nothing that can stop them.
