From what you've said I'd highly recommend listening to the band Obscura, one of my personal favourites. They mix metal with classical and jazz elements, use a variety of vocal styles: growls, shrieks, cleans, whispers. The guitarists are geniuses, the drummer is fast and tight as hell and the bassist is insane so yeah, really worth a listen.

I was there too! Man i still can't believe my ears and eyes!
I've been listening to many different kinds of music for many years... things that are very diverse and worth listening in my opinion. But there is a lot of music and one must pick and choose. Pop means many things for example. In the sixties everything non-classical was ''pop'' and some was really fine and still worth a lot listening, but some other was disposable, if you know what I mean. Same with today's ''pop'' I guess...

What happened to the bald guitarist on the right? Seems anxious about something 🤔
@postmortem87675 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say he's anxious but probably a bit nervoous... In a interview Muhammed said that the guitarist (Sami Raatikainen) was a big fan of Necrophagist and so when they were looking for a new guitar player he had the skill and managed to get into the band. a bit like Metallica and Jason Newsted. and so no wonder he'll be atleast a bit nervous playing such technical music in front of all these people playing with a band you were once a massive fan of. Also the song seemed a bit faster here than on the recorded version and so most probably that added a bit more stress as well.

@patrolmostwanted11 жыл бұрын
Actually sir you don't realize that music of Necrophagist or rather their influences date back to when classical music ruled the world. In other words, Necrohpagist is a more extreme form of classical music. If you close your ears to distorted guitars, blast beats and growls it's your choice but you don't know that you're missing out.
@theo995211 жыл бұрын
The distorted guitars and the shreds are fine. I don't like the unchanging toneless growling, though.
@sarousch90613 жыл бұрын

sometimes with super fast death metal it almost becomes a chore to listen to it and I have to listen to it two or three times to hear everything going on. Some of the best death metal riffs are a little slower. It's still good but damn
