you weren't lying, this really was just the softest thing. sometimes i think about them and can't actually believe that the show put them together, let alone let them be endgame (or as close to that as we could get). but anyway this vid!!! 0:37-0:41- the parallel sideways looks there for "our changing minds", my god. also the combination of the two "someplace else you'd rather be" "i don't" and "let me be here right now with you" quotes was perfect. and it truly was such a brilliant move to put their 1x01 rejection scene right before the wedding with the never saw you coming (and the absolutely spot-on voiceovers to go along with that), my heartttt. and that ENDING - such a great choice to fade into the first dance from the wedding dance

Ok I need a moment to process this masterpiece😭 Lately I’ve been thinking about them and then you came with this edit and I thought “oh God I can’t wait to cry” and that’s what happened! You have a way to transport emotions that is magical, I felt every second this edit is so *intimate* ...I don’t have any other words to describe it. It’s so pure and the PARALLELS killed me in every possible way. The lyric combination with “I never saw you coming” and Stefan that rejects Caroline, and then he sees her in her wedding dress, and Lexi saying “you really don’t see it, do you?” it’s pure GENIUS.
