@Appsro They used to have a mechanic where the bodies would turn into gore blocks. The zombies could then die against a wall and climb up the gore blocks created by the dead horde, but they scrapped that mechanic in one of the later versions.

to bhe fair, neebs died so shouldnt be there. His input, and comments are helping people and i feel dora on this, neebs is dead, shouldnt be there. spectators have always interfered with 7 days to die zombie agro as well. any structure or entity in the pathing of them like the clock tower and garden, hinder zombie movement around dora and others, giving them advantages. mind you, dora is also extra spicy as neebs is dead, and he is tied with simon for lives, and no one though simon would live this long LOL.

@@druidigan3631 Also, while I understand their need to have onscreen banter instead of just 3 players separately and silently going about their business (or only talking to themselves), I can see how Neebs's "ride-alongs" would be distracting to a player. If Dora's creeping through a POI on a mission and listening for nearby zombies, having Neebs following him around and yammering in his ear about paint colors or how great it is to be "retired" makes it tough to hear the danger in the next room and focus on the task at hand. Simon seems to enjoy having Neebs with him during missions BUT I've also noticed that Simon is a lot less self-reliant when Neebs is with him. Simon by himself has grown as a player; Simon with Neebs is way less decisive and sure of himself and asks Neebs about every little thing (like old "do everything for me" Simon). The only one who doesn't seem to get distracted or affected by Neebs's presence is Appsro who manages to keep the banter going while staying focused on what he's doing. As for Neebs's presence during horde nights affecting the size and location of the horde... I don't know. As a viewer, I don't mind having him there trash talking and whatnot but they should really make sure that he's not affecting whose house the zombies go to in any way. I've seen zombies attack him in previous episodes, so they're obviously aware of his presence, but does that affect their spawn point during the hordes? Idk. I mean, we all know zoms take the path of least resistance and there's no disputing that Appsro's base is the path of most resistance, so it's not surprising that they path to someone else. And, while Simon is still working mainly with wood spikes, he's got a LOT of them, so he's not necessarily the easiest target either. And Dora's base is basically a stairway, the sole purpose of which is to lead zombies right to him... so, again, not surprising that he gets most of the action, Neebs or no Neebs.

I beg of thee to up the difficulty so something exciting happens that isn’t self inflicted misery. These zombies constantly get like 4-5 hits on you guys and barely tickle your hp bars and die super quick. They also take forever to break anything, Dora loves doin silly things so he’s likely going to be out soon followed by Simon but its gonna be such an anticlimactic ending to the series

@@zerotwo6814 Zombie count got raised to max (I think its 64) it doesn’t affect their hp or damage or anything just the number that show up. 100 weak zombies that tickle you each hit is basically the same at 10 weak zombies when you play on low settings. It’s why so many people heavily mod the game or play on max difficulty/perma death. Vanilla 7 days is insanely easy

Funny thing, I remember a lot of RTS games had corpse decay as a thing. Something dies, and the corpse will decay over time if it isn't hunted for meat. Kill something, the body lies there and it decays as a texture layer on the environment. I remember it was a thing for Age of Empires 1 and 2, and it was a thing with the entire Warcraft and Starcraft franchise RTS games.

Staircases-to-heaven you rely-on for-defense aren't equipped with spinning-blade-traps: but zombies aren't going to care if traps exist, they'll climb up and get hurt without a 2nd thought: two-wide-staircase with bladed-defenses, on every step, even on the roof against birds. (or) Pit of spikes with you in the middle, below the horizon line, out of view, everyone up-top sponging attention from the hoards.

During the episode, I was wondering if Dora should build a wall around his yard and if that would then cause them to path toward Appsro more often. On the other hand, I know from experience that building a wall of any strength can take a long time and a lot of resources and they only have a day to grind between hordes, so Dora probably doesn't have time for that. He's constantly stuck in the "build my base or go get ammo, because I can't do both" dilemma.

Its weird how horde nights in previous series were always more chaotic and had guaranteed deaths. Now it feels like its on easy mode for them. Which im sure isn't the case. Im sure its more cuz they're all experienced with the game by now and they're not all in one spot so the horde is split up into smaller groups making it easier. I have noticed there isnt many screamers lately though.

You guys should make it so after each horde night you build the base for other people. Like all 4 people build a base and then you draw straws to see who has to survive in which base for the night. You want to sabotage each other but not too bad because you might draw the straw that makes you stay in your base.

So I love Simon, and its incredible that he actually found the best base design for this challenge. Zombie pathing hates spikes, so as long as there is an easier path to either of the other players near him, they are always going to go for the easier path first. Apsro has the more technological base, but the electrcal traps and blade traps do not deter the zombies like the spike traps are. The funny thing about it is if this were a solo play or single base play they would just mow through a line of spikes and Simon's base would be toast. But here the zombies have options, so they go and snack on the paths of least resistance. Apsro's base would be better in single player, but because of the advance traps he used the zombies think they have a better path to him, so now he's going to get more zombies than Simon. Meanwhile, Simon will reap the benefits of being largly ignored. Over time Appsro will have to spend more time on repairs until they get to him. Simon could conceivably win this as long as nothing too crazy happens and he can wait out Apsro. It's a long shot, but it could happen. Not ironically, If Dora added a thick carpet of spikes like Simon's his hordes would thin out a bit as the zombies would then have to recosider who has the path of least resistence. It would then likely default to Apsro.
