That hotel we always use when we are in Bangkok a few day´s before going home to Sweden, close to the airport and close to Robinsson and it has a pool to. Not so expensive even with breakfast and airport shuttle ,The Cottage

Funnily enough, another United flight departing Sydney had a hydraulic leak in the undercarriage. Sprayed oil over hot brakes.. It had to return to Sydney..

Hi Chuck and Paige.. I loved Sizzler in Thailand, totally different experience from America, much more prestigious and better beef! I always stay at a hotel on Soi 7 in Bangkok and then take their shuttle bus to either of the airports, next time I’ll try staying at a ohtel closer to the airport. Good luck on your connecting flight and in the Bay Area, you’re getting there just in time for the rainy times.

Hey Chuck., if you didn't see the United Air wheel come off there was a video of it flying into the parking lot and wiping 3-4 cars! Happened as he took off and the tower let the pilot know so he dumped fuel and landed at LAX. They were a day late arriving.

The Quarter Aru by UHG hotel was a great place to stay when I arrived to thailand. Check it out. Very big room, super comfy bed, shower is amazing and it has a big kitchen and even a big dining area. It was like a cool apartment.

Book an extra day at your resort hotel rather than stay at the airport. E.g I have a return flight coming up that departs 2:45 am for Vienna. So will spend the day in Pattaya and get an airport taxi at 11 pm. Not an issue for Europe bound flights as they typically leave around noon to arrive Europe early evening the same day.

Canalis was super expensive the last time i checked in nov 22,. Suvarnabhumi suites next door is good, ive stayed there around 16 times on my arrival and departures to/from thailand,. great rooftop bar/restaurant with nice atmosphere and live music,.

Hi Chuck, I am a cheap Charly so instead of taxi and terrible trafic from Soy 4 /11 I take the skytrain and change to the airport train and stay at The Cottage with 2 way busservice - for me it is more convinient and cheaper

Thanks for sharing. I don't carry luggage 1km to save $10 for 2 people. If we travel with a small backpack than we have more options. However I have seen a few people with luggage trying to maneuver the streets, people, and traffic to find an escalator to get to the bts. When a Tuk Tuk would have taken them both for 100 baht. Busses don't run all hours of a day. But hey it is there adventure....

Thanks for a great video Chuck and Paige. When I'm in Bangkok, I usually stay at the Promenade Hotel or Crown BTS hotel on Soi 8 or Maxim's Inn on Soi 7/1. Very close to all the action.

If you ever visit the UK on your travels don't book the Travel Lodge. It's a rough budget place where the walls are made of paper and there is additional costs for everything even WiFi. It's very different from the Travel Lodges in Thailand.
