I KNEW you'd use the Miata for this! Haha! As for the idea of a Porsche < 250hp, ever get the chance to see the KZbin documentary "Urban Outlaw", about the real-life Magnus Walker? He has every 911 from 1963 to 1972, and more - and has customised every single one. Porsche 911s didn't hit 250hp+ until the late seventies/ early 80s. So it's entirely possible.

Also: Sad that you're not keeping the Mustang. Garage Idea: You need a '73 Porsche RSR in your life. I tuned one up (sensibly so - kept the engine block original so that it doesn't end up stupidly powerful and undriveable, and it's now sitting on about 600 horse) and it drives like a beast. It's tuned slightly towards grip, but with the rear engine and sheer torque, it drifts as much (if not more) than my other cars, making it great for both speed runs and drifting. I did mine metallic black with a few thin gold stripes on it. It's fucking gorgeous. And being a '70s classic, it just has so much class. I urge you to look into it; seriously. :)

+Alexander Moschonas fair point, it's not 'undrivable', but it takes discipline to not go into corners at full speed, especially in some of the twistier races. Slow in the corners, and then cane it on the straights. If I wanted that, i'd get something American. :)
