The biggest issue with physicians prescribing, or nor prescribing TRT, is when they use the "range". Thats not medicine, its laziness.

Spot on my was 344 12.4 within range according to my GP for my age 52
@Jdac333Ай бұрын
Levels were 15, felt shit. No one was willing to help me, nhs or private because of the “ranges”. 32 years old, intense training background. Last few years “black and white” reality. Self administered 100 a week split into two to keep it simple. (Only pharma stuff) I feel like I’m 20 again. I get bloods every 4-6 weeks and read as much as I can online. Hopefully after a few years of self administering there will be docs out there who will take me on board!

Doc. What supplements do you suggest to use for low shbg and fatty liver issues?

I’d really like the TRT + blood test, just to have it all checked, whether it’s testosterone or something else, at 42 it’s like a hormone MOT surely?

Definitely!

Surely it’s a good idea to have a comprehensive check once or twice a year irrespective of symptoms?

I coach a guy who is 70 and in recent years he's been plagued years severe bouts of tachycardia out on the bike which are quite debilitating. He's had checks and no one can find anything wrong with his heart. I think it could be connected with low t. He's just had a test with the gp who has said free and total t are normal but haven't given him any actual numbers. Would you consider an issue like this a low t symptom? And if say numbers were normal but low would u consider him a trt candidate? I explained that u could have a total t of 300 and be considered normal by a gp but you'd be unlikely to feel great off that.

Quite possibly 🤷♂️

Magnesium supplementation

@@themenshealthclinic finally got my hands on it. Total T is only 11.2 which was deemed fine and dandy. Bottom of the normal range is 6.1 so some way lower than yours. You'd basically have to be a castrati to come in below that! Free t not tested, shbg normal and albumin not tested either. By powers unknown from this the gp was also able to ascertain free t was fine and dandy too! Basically your 70, you have some testosterone and you don't seem to be depressed so stop wasting our time!

Benchpress 120kg or lbs? 120kg bench is really good, well above average natural lifter. Ive been on TRT about half year now and got bench record a week ago 112.5kg which is about same I ever lifted totally natural. Before TRT I got too weak even to go to gym, libido zero, no erections, no mornin wood maybe for 10 years, high blood sugar (which has now gone almost normal range).
@johnmorgan79892 ай бұрын
@@bogse I think bench is more to do with the effort you've put in over years, body mass and your lever angles than test levels
@elmarg79662 ай бұрын
My test is 7.9. Weight 88kg . And I bench press 120kg x 6. I suspect testosterone is not that critical if we talk about power.
@bogse2 ай бұрын
@@elmarg7966 You can train msucle mass or power, two pretty different training methods but testosterone plays big role in both of those is you have regular amount and sensitity in androgen receptros.

I dont understand why you shudent eat before the test. Yes i know you get lower result , but in real life you eat every morning and your trt get lower and you feel bad. Then you get your "real" trt number.... i'm on trt now , and when i take my test i'm told to eat before the test to get the real numbers. (i'm from Sweden)

Measuring in a fasted state in the morning allows for a more standardised result when comparing levels 👍
@DanEvo212 ай бұрын
I’ve never understood this when it comes to measuring a trough before you next injection.. It’s the very last part where it’s lowest which you stay at for such a short amount of time.. Surely like a middle of the peak and trough would be better to see where you’d be spending most of your time with levels around that? Even daily dosing each morning I’d have thought it’s better to take bloods around midday as that’s closest to how you’re going to feel most of the time ?

It's easier to compare results when it's standardised rather than optimised.
