12 years later and your video is just what I needed. I had not used my airbrush in ~20 years and it was pulsing badly. Just a couple minutes with your video and a new bearing/seal and it's good as new. Thank you for posting this.

Inherited an old badger airbrush, cleaned it out but couldn't figure out why it wasn't working right, and this was the reason! Thank you!

This worked in my 155 Anthem but I was unable to get the bushing or bearing, out the back. It got stuck on the edge of the air inlet tube and I couldn't get it past it. I didn't want to force it or damage it without a new one (part 50-046) so I pushed it back in and seated it firmly and adjusted it. It tightened everything up and it flows much better now. I may need to take a Dremel tool to open up the space by the air tube if I want to replace it but that sounds scary.

Tx for the info. I still struggle to get the bearing in the correct position because you can't see there. it keeps on making bubbles in the paint holder when I try to spray. Any more advice maybe? tx

A great resource as always Tony. How are the remaining videos coming? Too busy and have had to prioritise? I totally understand.

Thank you, I am suddenly having poor paint suction in my old Badger 200 and can't figure out why. I am to the point where I've troubleshooted everything and I am suspecting the needle bearing. This video helped me and showed me an idea of what the friction/tension should be. I might try pushing the needle bearing in further to tighten it, but I don't know which direction to go on the Badger 200. Also I learned that wax or chapstick can help seal the threads that might be losing air pressure and impacting the suction.

the 150 I am using, the needle bearing is inserted from to front, as the groove where the beering settles, is just behind the color feed path.

Really great video... i have a question. I have a few airbrushes that were given to me and they dont have needles in them so i dont know what size they are and the one that does have a needle i still dont know what size it is.. does anyone know now to figure out what size needle goes into them, do you measure the thickness of the needle?
@johnbobbitt64706 жыл бұрын
I've got the same question havin reafd yours, sir. People see my work and deliver airbrushes that have been in the basement since Kennedy was a child. Some I can't even find ANYTHING on. I love my vintage collection and would give anything to make a few workable.

Hope this helps you!!! If you have the name of the airbrush go to ebay and see if you can fined a needle to fit your airbrush, some times it works some time it don't. Good luck.
