That’s is a lovely hat and great technique. I was going to do the wet felting but this may be better for me. Can I ask how long does it take to roll the hat with the noodle? It seemed like a lot of time. I am planning to make mine tomorrow 🤞

I must say this is the best video on felt hat making I have seen. No talk, good music, plenty images... some others are too slow and too much chatting. I just wonder if needling mold is plain felt or anything else...

Why it’s becoming two hats after washing?
@skripkagra Жыл бұрын
You have chosen a very time-consuming process. Spreading the wool on a round or profile template makes it possible to spread the wool evenly. The hats will be delicate, plastic and will look good.

What is the purpose or rolling rhem in what looks like bubblewrap
@SpryWhimsy4 жыл бұрын
This firms the felt and shrinks it down to the desired size. It is actually solar pool cover

In my town there is a foam store that caters to people who upholster furniture or make cushions etc. i will go there and see if they have any . Another option might be a futon store. They have cylinder shaped bolsters made of cotton.

I could see that as a problem in the west. But here in WI water is plentiful. And required for felting.
