My boy just turned 12 and has been drumming on things around the house for months.. as a former band geek, I saw something there.. we got lucky n ran across an inexpensive drum kit. His first day of school was today, and he has signed up for band. He's had the kit almost 3 months now, and is playing his booty off already!! One of my friends got onto Quints his 8th grade year of marching band and let me tell you that boy tore it up. It’s his senior year next year and I can’t wait to come watch some of his games because he’s an outstanding percussionist. Jig 2 is a stepping stone in becoming a great drummer.

Brooo I miss marching band. My junior year I think our drumline was at their peak of existence and I can back that up. 3 of our drummer made all state and got a chance to play with the Virginia symphonic band. We were even so good that for fun we decided to add a jig snare solo AND bass solo. Which as a bass player on bass 2 it took us a bit to get it down but when we did we got the whole section sounding CLEAN. Good times
