The fact that this guy not only is playing extremely high notes for the tuba to be playing, but also they are extremely fast and with a fast tempo too. Not to mention, the amount of air needed for a tuba is hard to play notes as fast as he is. Also, on top of all that, his volume is great, his pitch is great, and his sound isn't wavering at all! As a trumpet player of six years, and a member of a high school marching band and pep band, this guy is absolutely amazing!

I played bassoon very badly for one year in high school after several years of playing the flute, much to the amusement of anyone in earshot! 🤪😂 Double reeded instruments are no joke!

I played flute for several years back in school and in my junior year was asked to try bassoon cuz the fingerings for the notes are the same as a flute. Treble to bass clef, and flute to that huge instrument with a double reed was no joke! It was always entertaining for whoever was within earshot of the practice room though! 😂🤣😂 On a serious note, I loved playing it and hope I get to again someday.

Oboe is one of the hardest instruments to play mouth wise bc it’s hard to make it sound good. I play oboe and it’s annoying bc I can’t make it sound good.

Flutes and euphoniums always united at my old band. Flutes, euphoniums, and sax were against the clarinets, trumpets and trombones. It was a whole-ass war.

Damn. I personally believe that the clarinets are pretty stick-up-their-asses and some flutes can definitely act like that sometimes (mostly because we are really bored) but my band was pretty chaotic. @@postmodernjambox5951

I was a trumpet player for 5 years and got stuck on larger brass later on since there were already to many trumpets. This is exactly the stuff I did, and taught the other tubas and baritones to do too

Tuba was my instrument of choice in 5th grade. I was 4ft tall and weighed 65 lbs. I still have canvas burn scars on the top of ankles from carrying it in a huge backpack everyday for two years. 😆

I played bass drum in 4th or 5th grade marching band and I was the same stature. We didn't have a good one for elementary use 😂 It was as big as the bass #5 I played in junior year. Even then it was big for me at like 5'10 150lbs and the one I used as a kid was an old solid wood one.

I went to school with a tuba player like this. In one show he was chosen to play all (and I mean ALL) of the lead trumpet parts for Wynton Marsalis’ version of The Carnival of Venice. He nailed it every time, on his tuba! This was high school BTW and he was 17 at the time.
