Neel 43 or 47 is a great pick. And the prices are going up. Neel have figured out most of the issues and people are noticing and buying.

Sweet. A NEEL tri, interesting boats. They seem like a fantastic boat, however... we all here rumours about the avant-garde electrics. Very French. Will Mrs. Naval Gazer be on board with an eclectic electric system? EDIT: He sweetens the video with a trifecta of tris and a cat. I'd choose the NEEL, in 47 foot because it's in a similar price range. Thanks for video.

I think the Neel has one problem: too many sharp edges to bump your head on, in particular when you are about 6ft tall.. What is happening with your sound?

Theres a forum for talking about early Trimarans and cats ...mostly kit or home builds or one offs.. but you can see some of the early designs began to show the configuration of the Neels... My gut reaction given the marks development and Gallic roots is they may go through a restyle at some style in the future and revisit thr more organic lines found in the early Neels externally... Where the Leen motor yatchs will may hold the angular lines..🤔 The trend for forward and internal helms ... will negate the need for walk rounds...so very near full width wings becomes more practical as is integration with the AMA's ...the Leens already deploy electrical hybrid motors in their AMA's and the advantages this gives in a range of scenarios will probably spread to the Sail Tri's.. adding electrical regen under sail to the power generation system.

@@navalgazingatcampdavid It was the Norman Cross 50 and sixty foot cruising designs i was thinking of ... Needed to check. Their wooden structure meant considerable structural intrusions into the main living spaces but you can see on the larger designs the concept development .. The arrival of small powerful submerged pod motors as well as withdraw able ones including the rim drive types and the possibility of using the Sharrow toroidal props allows greater power, efficiencies, quietness and safety in boating . We already have drop down bow thrusters. The Germans Dutch with outboard rimdrives and italians with their Deep Speed rim driven Jet pod units seem to have been able to beat the out puts of ICE driven conventional props and water jets.. whilst reducing the interior space and noise and maintenance to little or nothing compared to Directly mechanically driven ICE set ups.🤓😎

@@navalgazingatcampdavid Hey i like all the Neels but i need a head with easy access on whatever model i ever get. Having to hold pee is very damaging and causes uric acid build up and damages our whole body. And secondly i don't like the saildrive....too much maintenance required and i live on the gulf coast and not many ways to pull the neel out of the water so i need the shaft drive. Not many of them have shaft drive.

@@navalgazingatcampdavid Was just trying to say the Neel's are not very ideal for me. Lot's of problems with their layout for me. I need intercoastal friendly. The neel 50ish might have shaft drive but too tall for the intercoastal. I need intercoastal to escape hurricanes. If they only offer it one way that might push me into a Leen trimaran or something. At 72 i might only do daysailing anyway. What i really need is a home on the water with my Neel or Leen docked out back. I need you to review the Leen trimarans.
