Actually they didn't animate a part in the novels and that was Kirito cheking to see if he's the real 'Kirito' or just a copy. He kissed Selka's forehead thinking "ths copy wouldn't be able to go beyond the rules someone sets for themselves like the rules set for a robot so if I'm just a copy I won't be able to kiss someone other than Asuna" and that's one of the reasons for Selka's attitude towards Kirito from now on

As you said, for a animator is not hard for him to make something with this quality, the problem is that the industry pay too little, there is too much work to do, and there is no time to do, to make things with this quality the correct path will be reducing by a lot the quantity of produced animes by Year and focus on quality and paying the animators more, but for the ones who gain money with animes (besides the animators themselves) its out of question to do.

Spoilers so don't read this if you don't want any. I feel like they did Sao dirty in the last episode, he kills a boss monster with a single strike. Im not mad about that, im mad because his sword doesn't make contact, and no skills were used. The whole reason I liked this series is because it's realistic in that it doesn't do that without skill activation, so im just mad there was a inconcitantcy like that in the ENDING of all places. Before I forget, if you are reading this without watching it, i promise this is the ONLY inconsistency in the entire last season. The rest of it is awesome just not the ending scene.
