Those demons that were sacrificed were Kuro/Noir's descendants. Remember that as the Primordial Black, he is the progenitor of the Black Lineage of Demons. So, in order to aid Rimuru, Kuro was willing to sacrifice his own family. What a guy! In Demonology, Beelzebub is one of the seven princes of Hell, associated with the sin of gluttony. Raphael is of course named after the Archangel Raphael. And now for details on Rimuru's new Ultimate Skills... *Raphael, Lord of Wisdom* is one of Rimuru Tempest's Ultimate Skills. The anime mixes both specifically in Part 1 its almost a even split while having some Anime original interpretation and versions in the mix ... P2 since at the time of production this was just coming out in the manga is almost fully from the novel ... but with some significant anime only changes ...

The Tensura Committee (The production company created to adapt Tensura) explicitly said they are adapting the Light Novel. There are a couple things both manga and anime added, but they are not significant. The Light Novel is more than double the size of the manga so far. The anime adapts parts of the story that were not even out yet(in the manga) when the production (and writing) of the season 2 started. Even now, manga just only finished telling the Volume 7 of the LN, just ONE VOLUME ahead of the last aired anime season, which was until Volume 6. While the production of the anime season who is probably adapting Volume 7 and 8 is already underway. There are SEVERAL scenes you can clearly see the Light Novel is being adapted and not the manga, through both seasons. But for some reason Manga readers keep insisting that it is adapting the manga and complaining that things are missing.

Ah i love megido its a "spell" that rimuru could really only do with modern knowledge to make it as easy as he did, it just refracts light using water lenses to such a point where it becomes super heated lazers that instantly burn through enemies so basically it can be used at insane range and cant be cancled by anti magic

You noticed during the fight, but Black is limiting his strength in fights. In the past he could have evolved and become much stronger, but refused because that would make fights to easy. So Black has been handicapping himself to make fights more enjoyable, however when he joins up with Rimuru he will no longer need to do so. He will now have individuals available to fight that he can go full power against.

To explain what "words of the world" is; When certain phenomenon occur - such as the acquisition of skills, racial evolution, the obtainment of a demon lord seed or hero's egg, and the activation of some skills - the World Language will echo within the consciousness of all related parties. Sometimes it is heard by a single individual while in other instances it is broadcast to a large group of individuals within the range of the source phenomenon. The skill great sage/raphael copys the voice of the world to communicate with Rimuru.

Megiddo essentially uses water to create magnifying lenses in the sky. Rimuru uses Great Sage to perform the millions of calculations required to align the magnifying lenses with the sun and angle them at a particular target. As all Rimuru needs to do is create a bit of water, this technique consumes almost no magic and costs nothing to maintain once it's started - or at least that's how it's explained in the LN.

Noir (Kuro) turning aside Razen's nuclear cannon attack, is even more awesome than it seems. (very minor spoiler) In the manga, it's later revealed that another (enemy) demon lord had a hidden spy flying over that area for surveillance. The re-directed nuclear cannon took them out - and it was suggested that Noir probably knew they were there, and not only flexed on casting it aside so easily, but AIMED it to take out the spy.

He actually use water spirits ( lesser water spirits) not the skills he gain in episode 1-2. As for why he use spirits not just normal magic, because they are inside Anti-magic area and magic can't be used inside even if rimuru is the caster. He can if he try enough. In his battle with hinata he learn that spirits and spirits magic can be used inside Anti-magic area and holy purification barrier or holy field. Megido is first test for something he use inside Anti-magic area or holy purification barrier. It's new type of magic where spirits are used and output is completely physical and it can't be blocked by normal barrier that is used for protection against magical attacks for obvious reasons.

Nice reactions bro. Enjoying the series again following you. Quick FYI: Noir/Kuro/Diablo Is a primordial demon (higher than arch-demon). They are typically just known by a 'color' designation - black in his case. Noir has a rep amongst the demons as being a little strange. He's kinda bored with what interests most demons, and is obsessed with finding interesting and unusual things to learn about and do. So he really does desperately want to be around and serve Rimuru. He's been waiting for a chance to be summoned by him, in fact. Noir sees him (correctly) as a insanely unique and powerful entity and is convinced being around Rimuru is going to be incredibly entertaining and interesting. So he really just wants to be a part of the fun. Totally understandable - how many of us WOULDN'T want to be part of the Tempest Federation and be hanging around there, right?

Rimuru's evolution was suppose to stop after getting all the Powe up but then Great Sage forced the evolution of itself into Raphael because it was Rimuru's will to resurrect those who died during Farmus' initial attack and, as Great Sage, it was only a tiny chance that it could do it. After it became Raphael, that's when it started acting upon its on vague sense of desire and will - namely its desire to see Rimuru happy - instead of purely pursuing Rimuru's desires and taking the initiative for the sake of Rimuru's will thus leading to force evolve gulotony into Beelzebub and it just took 1 try instead of millions showing how much better Raphael is

If I remember it correctly from the books, the scene where the blond guy who got insta-gib'd as he left the tent of the king was far more emotionally devastating as the tent wasn't open like in the anime. In the book he proposed the same plan and left the tent, then the king, bishop, and mage all discussed their plans further, some time passes and they wonder why the knight hadn't returned yet, as at this point they believed he wouldn't be killed by Rimuru due to his abilities, so the mage opens the tent to go look for him, it turns out the kinght was killed instantly as he left the tent, but remained standing until the mage grabbed his shoulder, disturbed his balance, and thus the knight falls over dead. It was more shocking to them due to the time that had passed as they believed he was out gathering soldiers for the human shield plan, so their hopes of escaping where quite high. I may be misremembering the details but some events, while close to the book version, are sped up/abridged in the name of fitting everything into an episode. You should take note that Great Sage and the Words of the world share the same voice but are two different things. Words of the world tells of changes to the world to people involved, it talks to everyone in the world when needed. E.g when Rimuru gained merciless it was the World voice talking and also when he was evolving it was the world talking and when Benimaru and the others got the gifts it was the world talking. But Great Sage is Rimuru's personal skill and only he hears it and it uses the same voice as the Words of the World. Many people confuse the two

To explain what the spell Megido is doing: Rimuru is using water and shaping it into lenses, which then are hyper-focusing sunlight into essentially ultra-powerful lasers. He is then using Great Sage to track the humans below and aim the lenses to take them out. None of the elements of the spell itself are within the anti-magic field he set up beforehand. The only things entering the anti-magic field are the "mundane" beams of light.

fun fact megiddo isn't really a rapid fire type of magic, since rimuru has to recreate the water droplets everytime he uses one and redirect the lenses for every change in direction which uses a lot of calculations. he actually uses them per volley, like he kills a thousand or a few hundred every volley of megiddo. that's why Folgen thinks he can use his unique skill to have them escape since each laser kills at most through two people only. and since there is a type of small cool down since rimuru has to compute eveything at once again. the army actually 'tried' to resist the attack, like how the mages tried using magic barriers or the holy knight using their holy magic. and how the knights uses their shields to block the attacks. again tried since every attempt is met with death. each volley actually destroyed each of their attempts one by one like "use shields" *megiddo* *dead* "use magic barriers" *megiddo* *dead* "use holy magic" *megiddo* *dead* "I don't want to die..." *megiddo* *dead*

An offering of 20 thousand bodies would have got him thousands of greater demons, but Kuro "skipped" the line, thst should speak how big of a deal he is Razen (the one who took over Shogo's body) is really powerful. Even without that nuclear explosion woth his death as the trigger he could easily best most of Rimuru's subordinates quite easily. Nuclear magic usually requires many people plus an incantation to be used and he can use it by himself, though he was unfortunate to face Kuro. Also, when he blew his nuclear magic upwards, he sent it towards one of Clayman's subordinate, immediately killing her, who was there to observe and report to Clayman the situation. From Grucius words, a Demon Lord only appers once every few centuries, and Rimuru has only been in this world for 2 years. To make things clear, the demon race has nothing to do with the title "Demon Lord". If someobody hasn't noticed yet, Raphael, the evolution of Great Sage, took over Rimuru's body since he was actually sleeping, represented by the red eyes and the voice. When Myulan sees this and asks, Raphael says she's just "a proxy", which confuses Myulan. Remember, never in this world's history did anyone hear about a skill with free will, not even Veldora, whose skill allows him to know everything that has happened in the past in the world (he also helped Great Sage calculate the 3,14 possibilty of revival last episode). Kuro suspected at the start but brushed it off as yet another Rimuru shenanigan.

Rimuru was using their water manipulation skill. Water was used as a lens to collect sunlight, and the spherical droplets were used to aim the concentrated beams of sunlight. If anti-magic is somewhat resisted, skills remain unaffected. This was explained at length in the Light Novel. ❤❤❤

Kinda important information that is glossed over in the show: The voice that is heard by the inhabitants of Rimuru City is NOT Great Sage. Its called "Words of the World" and is basically a system to announce great changes taking place in the world to affected individuals. Such as in this case the birth of a new True Demon Lord. Its also a notification system to inform people about the aquisition of new skills for example. We didn't hear it, but in the last episode, Shogo also heard "Words of the World" when he got the survivor skill. "Words of the World" is also the voice we hear in episode one, when Rimuru received his skills. Great Sage sounds the same, because as the skill was created it had to take on a voice to communicated and decided on the voice of "Words of the World". Even though its technically incorrect, you can roughly see it as an announcer at an event (the world being the event). "You there, person with blue hair. You won an evolution to Demon Lord. Congrats.".

How Raphael revived shion: Mild spoilers, Raphael already had enough Magicules from Veldora, that wasn't the problem. What he lacked was 'desire' (the will to live) which demons are the very incarnation of and the best replacement for. Raphael posed the lack of Magicules to Diablo to manipulate him into offering up his demon subordinates. This is all cited from the Veldora journal entries - short stories/novels at the end of every manga volume up to volume 16, detailing Veldora's life in Rimuru's stomach and his PoV on Rimuru's actions/experiences.

Beelzebub is another name for the devil in the old testament of the Bible basically. However, he's turned into a lieutenant of Satan within Christian tradition and is a fallen angel alongside Lucifer and Leviathon. He's one of three sins, depending on the literature, either sin of pride, gluttony or idolitry. I just noticed something, i think "Skills" have their own will, and when a skill is given to someone it choses whoever it wants as it's master, the difference between servants and skill is that skills doesn't have the ability to speak and have a physical body (I think there's an exception like RAPHAEL/CIEL)

Not all skills has will. Allmost none of them has a will. It's very much unheard of a skill with a will. There are indeed some skills with will but they are extremely rare that you can count there number by your fingers. Great sage confirm to have a will of its own in LN, manga. That's what make it different from other skill. When rimuru reincarnated in this world, great sage took 3 month to developed enough to talk to rimuru. Rimuru was alone without anyone to speak for whole three months which increased his desire for a companion, which make great sage develop way faster than others skills with a will. It develop even more when it evolved into ultimate skill Raphael.

What I find funny is that the things others do to oppose Rimuru, only ended up making him stronger. The Orc Disaster that gave him the Demon Lord Seed. The attack on the city and the casualties giving him the motive to retaliate. The barrier meant to weaken them keeping the souls, allowing their resurrection. Finally, the 20k army giving him the fuel for the Seed to "sprout".

idk if they explain this but during evolution actually there're two entity, Sage and Voice of World. they have similar voice because Sage is actually a piece/part of Voice of the World. Embodiment of Raphael in Rimuru's form is similar nature with being that went to Chloe body in Ramiris' labirynth. The true nature of Voice of the World is also Omnipotent and Omninisient that only The Creator God and Rimuru have. The Creator God giving up the Omnipotence and Omniscient and descended into being called True Dragon Star King. there's bit and pieces mention that were already mentioned that will reveal later. the progression is exponentially big like Naruto to me.
