Neer impingement test
Test Procedure:
• Active Test: Examiner stabilizes scapula and client actively flexes the GH joint until onset of pain or full flexion
• Passive Test: Examiner forces client’s internally rotated arm into maximal flexion
Positive results:
• Shoulder pain
Negative Results:
• No shoulder pain
Implications of positive test result:
• Subacromial impingement

Sensitivity: 0.78 Specificity: 0.58
