My late wife was a HORRIBLE ESO healer. She didnt do bad in other MMO, but was awful in ESO. But she did play a solid stam sorc, and MAN could she ever tank! She preferred viridian green.

@@henrychun65 Might be because ESO is so different in terms of healing :o I've seen so many people struggle because they were used to reactive healing (people get hurt -> I throw the heal) rather than the more passive healing in ESO that is all about keeping your HoTs up at all times. When I check logs of healers who want help to improve, the issues are always the uptimes. If they're a Templar, there's a 99% chance that instead of keeping their HoTs up they're wasting time overcasting BoL because they're still used to another way of healing.

Just how I felt about the tanking position :D A team that wanted to do vCR+3 made a GH tank take my role even I got promised to get it, I just had prior vCR+2 knowledge at the time. Fast forward, the raid lead wasted a month of my time saying I will be signed up and every week it's the last time the GH tank will raid with them. I ended up finding a team and clearing GH before that group, before they progressed +3 xD They banned and blocked me due to me saying they could have told me they wanted him on the team, but they ensured me I'm going to be on the team lying for over a month that I will be on the roster. I'm happy I didn't join them. Probably not allowed to do any mistake in that group :D Goal: +3 Requirement for entry: GH

The healer part is accurate...I only play healers in games & on ESO I have a healer of every class except DK. I constantly get asked questions like, "What DPS do you have/play?" "Have you ever healed ___ before?" "What made you want to be a healer?" "How is healing fun to you?" and proceed to get blamed when dps / tanks get hit by a 1 shot mech. =)

Pretty good: Healer was quite true DDs they only look at numbers and want 20k above what is actually required to do the trial. Tanks they want a person who knows the mechs before they have done the trial. So yeah, all very true.

For any raid I haven’t done before I always look up a guide. It doesn’t give experience and it can’t help if they want you to link a clear, but it does help you know the mech before doing the trial.

I remember the time I tried joining PVE guilds, got 3 of those over the year. One was good but disbanded after some patch that made lots of people leave. The other 2 were Craglorn chat PUG quality and most runs were just wipe fests. So I gave up doing trials altogether. The only PVE I do now is when a new dungeon DLC goes live, I PUG those on vet once as tank and I'm done :)

So I'd rather just dps and be that first dude in the videos and not fuck up a pull for people when I've heard about ragers lol .

Roman Arriaga Just go in Craglorn and join the first normal trial you see. Normal trials should have no requirements, and even then, they probably won’t even ask you for dps or clears. Once you know the mechanics from doing normal, there is no reason why you can’t do vet. Just don’t tell them you haven’t run it. I got into a vAS+1 yesterday and I’ve never even run AS ever. Most groups don’t care.

Funny as always, but in my experience, raid teams are even more like: can you do X DPS? Or for support, do you have these 12 different sets? (with no glimmer of sympathy for the 500 hours you'll spend farming those sets) The dumbest move ZoS made was to put the gear that people expect you to have to do trials, in trials

I am a male healer. I haven't been PVEing though much. In any MMO I am either a healer or a tank. In ESO I wanted to try out DPS. It is a bit mindless imo. I am glad the mechanics break the mindlessness. Sometimes though I do get annoyed that I can't just stay in one spot ROFL.
