@@riyad3320 I would agree with you. But the look he gave Maggie at the end was a little bit of the old Negan. In the start of the episode his old self is like “those people will never see you for something other than who you truly are” which is true. They’ll always see him as evil began because they are huge hypocrites. That biker that Negan wasted didn’t kill him and when he inadvertently killed Lucille Negan came back and killed him. This was the reason for the lineups, this was the reason for him making an example of trouble makers. Rick killed maybe 50 Saviors, and he was going to kill Abraham and roll them into the collective. When Daryl punked Negan in front of the entire community and his Saviors Negan had no choice. Negan shouldn’t have killed Glen. But the premise was the same as when Maggie killed that savior who mouthed off to her at Hilltop. Can’t have it, have to show your dominance or else. So I agree it’s a new beginning and I agree it’s not old Negan but I think his new beginning is embracing that side of him which “can accomplish anything”. Which means he will have zero f’s to give BUT will have compassion and a self awareness of the mistakes he’s made. He just won’t continue to bow down to a mistake he’s paid for by being in jail over a decade, risked his life multiple times to save Judith and then the community while Maggie did the same thing when she hung Gregory and then took off. There’s no comparison.

i always felt that rick or someone or all of the people in the 'eeny meeny' group should have asked for it to be them to save each other...so negan and we could see their commitment to each other...negan was pretty fair about it...he told them what would happen, he gave them a few passes to explain the new rules...i imagine with him and maggie, he is still in sort of a 'i don't care if i live or die' mode...if maggie kills him, he goes to be with lucille...if she doesn't, he has to live without her...'if you miss glen a smidge of how i miss my lucille, then i'm truly sorry and i feel your pain'..there is literally nothing maggie can do to him...she's gonna have to find her own peace
