I'm sorry, I can't come to terms with this Negan and Maggie thing. He didn't just kill the love of her life, he laughed and taunted while he did it. Killing out of necessity is one thing, Negan enjoyed killing Glenn.

idk about enjoyed, hes a lil psycho not unlike rick. but in his mind being this unpredictable, anything goes wrong and i beat someone to death type threat was what gave him power.. i mean, every time negan walked up to alexandria everyone was piss scared hed just lash out so nobody really tried anything.

The purpose of the way he acted was to instill utter fear, deter people even contemplating of going against him. A defensive mechanism, i doubt he enjoyed it at all, it was a way to control. Because humans had proven to be untrusting, only trust he knew was fear

@letmelivegaming I think he enjoyed controlling them and he enjoyed the tactics he used to control them. He was depicted that way by JDM, often laughing at and taunting his victims. Someone who didn't enjoy it wouldn't do that. They may still engage in the behavior as a means to control through brutality, but they would do so somewhat reluctantly. They would probably even display intense anger and disgust. Negan fully embraces it. Watch the Glenn scene, his goal isn't just to control the group, his goal was also to embarrass and inflict intense pain on Glenn and Abraham. He stops midway through bashing Glenn's head, when Glenn was still alive and obviously in immense pain, to smile at him and taunt him. The writers of the show pulled back on this after Andrew Lincoln decided to leave the show. They knew they would need to retcon Negan a little to bring him more to the forefront as a protagonist.

Yep in the next season. Personally my prediction is Negan will play their game and will either completely turn back into savior Negan or will act like it and eventually turn on them. But if he does really go back to old Negan, can't say I blame him, as he's constantly mistreated by others. I think him and Daryl are somewhat on better terms though.

Glenn was a major character but he isn't what held the show together. His death and Corals death were extremely overhyped. If anything it was how gruesome Glenn and Abraham's death was that left people feeling the way they did about it.
