When I saw this video pop up, I was excited! I’ve been waiting for a Negan and Saviors explanation video! I like how it’s going to be on parts just so we can get a full explanation on the saviors as a whole. I honestly thought that Simon was already apart of the Saviors when he killed all the men in Oceanside because of Arat’s “no expectations” line like Negan used before killing Glenn. Here’s Negan in particular was my favorite episode of the walking dead and actually made me cry. I can’t wait until the next part! P.S. that Simon edit was pretty funny 😂

Anyone else think Here's Negan should have been it's own miniseries? They literally had the source material to have made it into a 6 or 8 part miniseries. Like imagine it starting from the very beginning with Negan meeting other survivors and going from community to community and slowly forming The Saviors then it ending with the events of the season 6 finale and season 7 opener.

I find it unfortunate that the lack of major time skips between season 4 and 8 of the show has created a time constraint on the saviors' history. By the time they encountered Rick's group, only 20 months have passed since monument day, but it already took half-a-year for Negan to turn bad and meet some of his first lieutenants. So any story that wants to expand upon their formation and rise to power, will have to be cramped in a roughly 1-year long period.

Before I knew anything about the saviours and Negan I had thought they were actually 2 biker gangs that joined together and then Negan met them with the group he joined with and they made a massive group at the start and then Dwight came in a naturally could ride a bike so he fit in well

Negan ruled through grief which lead to how The Saviors was. As time went on and he became redeemed that his him coming to terms with the death of his wife. Had he not lost Lucile I think he would have been more like Rick.

The actual work they do isn’t really touched on, but I’d guess they would do house keeping tasks. Cataloguing ammo, food, goods, etc. Cleaning things (probably laundry and stuff) And overall maintenance of the sanctuary.

1. Negan didn't start his downward swing before Shiva scared him away so he could of stopped and not done it 2. Simon was a part of the Saviours when he killed oceanside and one of hilltop too 3 he Croat was actually running away from Negan when he got shot

While there’s not a ton of information on exactly when the Oceanside attack took place, most timelines or wiki articles state Simon wasn’t apart of negans crew at that time. It’s possible it’s inaccurate as the fandom wiki isn’t always reliable, but from what I can tell it makes sense, as negan would have to get his ideas for ruling from somewhere, he was just a gym teacher after all.

Negan spoke about the massacre in 815 and said that it happened before him and before there was a system in place. If it had happened under Negan's watch he would have killed Simon for it like he tried to do with the Croat for killing that girl.
