Wayland Lo actually the only proprietary parts in the gearbox is the shell itself and sometimes the spring guide (if it’s qd if not then it’s standard v2) everything else is drop in except if you want a gate titan but a lot of guns need a little bit of dremeling

@@askdogs839 Crazy you say that , have had mine stock going on 4 years now , never a single issue accept 2 years in it needed a new hop rubber and spring. As long as you keep them clean and lubed up and shim it I doubt youll have an issue. I play every weekend running an 11.1 and nothing , works every time I pull the trigger. Or maybe I just got a good one XD and for some reason everyone I run into who also has a vfc says they love them. What VFC do you have?

@@nylesjake910 By applying the same logic, APS should be considered top tier as well because my friend's APS is still working after 3 years of service. VFC internals are, on average, pretty mediocre and not worth the premium price they charge for the whole package. The externals are wonderful, but I'd rather have an overall better quality balance, rather than the fancy markings where the customers ultimately have to pay for the licence cost.

@@nylesjake910 Not having problems dosent necessarily mean that something is good. We have 2 416 the older one and new A5 one only stock thing is the gearbox shell. For our standards internals are just meh. The are not the worst definelty but when a CYMA whic costs almost half the price has a better internals thats just bad really bad. We have a saying in my country about VFC and ti goes "You only buy it for the markings" . Then again if your happy with its performance thats great for you, for me on the other hand I want even better performances. Also the big question is do you have a EU version or the US, cause they are different. Btw replaying from the different acc ;)

Why are electrical faults so common in Airsoft guns? Surely someone on the design team has some form of electrical qualification. I've got cheap kitchen appliances that I give more shit and they hold out far longer than an Airsoft gun twice the price. It's incredible the shit the factories pump out. Electrical faults on stock parts shouldn't be a thing with the price some of these folk are paying. At least VFC has its shit together to some degree.

I ran the M4 QBS from CYMA for over a year with probably 20 thousand rounds or so, all on a valken 11.1 lipo with 30C (which is really pushing the rate of fire past 32 rounds per second.) before the gun finally quit on me. The trigger mosfet unit has malfunctioned and fires without the safety off or trigger pulled. A year of significant abuse with an overkill battery with top tier performance (only upgrade was a hop up bucking) for like 220 dollars. To be honest, not bad.

That mechanical 3rnd burst is a nightmare! Only ever worked on one, got it in for a service and a mosfet, and it chose that time to break that tiny little nib off the cutoff, resulting in full auto only. Had fun trying to get another replacement cutoff direct from VFC for it, but at least they were decent enough to deal with. But agreed, that screechy whine just seems customary for them!

Mech burst isn't even reliable in real firearms, look at the m16 with the fact it can be 3 2 or 1 round depending on cam position. It really makes far more sense to do it electronically

I have a few G&G ETU’s and outside of the 3 round burst programme, they’re not much different but I’d expect the Cyma hardware to cost less for those on a budget.

This is very similar to my EF MP5, but mine actually has a normal V2. The motor is shit, the gears are meh, no Mosfet, so it's respond is similar to the vfc you showed on video. I did a quick motor swap and added a pico ssr, and the thing now is a beast

I wish I had a tech like you near me lmao. I took my old (over 5 years) second hand custom AKM built from an E&L body kit and what looks to be a CYMA gearbox base and spare parts into the shop because it had broken a couple of piston teeth, and it was having issues firing (later it turned out to be the wiring harness needed replacing). I've been umming and ahhing over what to do with it for a few months, and your videos have inspired me to build a new gearbox for it from the ground up. Luckily I know how to do it myself, I would have preferred a professional like you to have done it for me, though.

The non-biased fact about the platinum MOSFET is that there is a very large failure rate (with an 11.1). I've only heard of 1 failure with a 7.4 and he was using a 30c. Not all of them will fry, but the likelihood is pretty high. Not as bad as VFC though

God it literally sounded like one of those $30 Mini AA BATTERY AEGz from 1999-2002 with the small robotic Arduino science kit motors in them. Sounded like plastic teeth on large pot metal or plastic gears at a terrible RPM. I know you said you don’t watch many people’s videos but it would really mean a lot to have you check out my content. I really am geared towards trying to teach really important things about what these AirArms are made of ,like their metals and component part build differences. I emphasize on different quality metals that are used in different manufacture airsoft and why some are good and some are terrible,leading to what really should be upgraded vs what we typically think needs upgrading,like pot metal and Alloy parts to CNC aluminum or steel parts,i talk a lot about electric triggers that shouldn’t be burning out and often refer to or compare parts to my Knowledge of RC car parts ,gears, use of o rings,speed controllers comparing them to different triggers and mosfets like mechanical speed controller vs a digital one. It’s good to know things like this while being interested in details like why a company names their mosfets “Gate” which you like using and how the name relates, you know because of what a mosfet is relating to conductivity or in short a isolated “gate” field effect transistor or “IFEGT” for short. Things i feel the every day airsofters should know or should want to know. I think if anyone would understand or get me and my channel it’s you man! I’d really just like to know if you approve and hope you’re not thinking i’m a wanker or some other funny negative adjective! It would really mean a lot! PSA about this POS gun: Wanna know what's worse about this MP5 model? No matter what you do, the trigger is gonna break since its vertical and it goes against the gravity. Wanna fix that shit once and and for all? Buy another MP5! Or... Get rid of that stupid VFC original gearbox, Get a standard v2 gearbox, with a standard mp5 trigger, change the nozzle to the original one and modify a m4 selector plate since fucking VFC uses gears there (you gotta rotate the gears inside there in a 90-degree angle, theres a nub that has to fit with a precisly made notch you gotta make in the selector) and you will have a gun that even if you lose the burst fire will perform far better than the original. Selector will only work in a 45-degree angle. Wiring can be easily sorted no matter if you have an a4 or an a5 version. Just don't get too excited with the selector or else it can: lose the grip and over spin to a unwanted position or it can get destroyed since the plastic that holds the inner gears is not the best.

Hey, I know it's unrelated but occasionally in my Specna Arms Edge E-05 randomly the gun won't fire, locks up for a second and will refuse to fire until I pull the trigger again. I dry fired while looking at the X-ASR to help diagnose it and it was blinking red/green every once in a while when it locked up. According to the little diagnostics card with the X-ASR it said the trigger was occasionally "Connected to the negative motor wire". It seems odd that the trigger connections would be reversing polarity to the motor when I've never really opened up the rifle and haven't bashed it around or anything. This isn't a constant issue either and it only happens randomly around 3 times per mag in semi auto. Edit - I'm using a 7.4v VP Racer LiPo battery and a 7.4v Nuprol LiPo battery Any advice?

@@scully1622 I had the same in my sa e07. I installed a gate nano aab before I discovered the issue. I opened up the gearbox and took a good look at the trigger mechanism and the cutoff lever. In my gearbox the hole where the screw goes through was too big of the cutoff lever, wich made the cutoff lever bounce around a bit and didnt let the trigger mechanism reset. I replced the cutoff lever for a old g&g one wich i had lying around after i installed a titan in my g&g. Hope this helps.
