its funny how all these nerfs over time led to slugging becoming even more popular. anti-camp hooks, hook stages taking 10s longer, built in BT upon rescue. typical behavior shooting themself in the knee. the gap between strong and weak killers grows every time they change something, which forces players to result to dirty tricks. at this point its just who can be more toxic, survivors or the killer lol, i love it

They cry, because slugging SPECIFICALLY denies their build its entire purpose. They try to make their builds so that the Killer's life becomes miserable due to absurdly difficult-to-achieve objectives, so ofc, they're gonna cry when Killer's adopt a strategy that ignores the entire of that build, and doesn't bother to do the objectives they try so hard to make as unfun as possible to achieve.

I've had some really crazy survivors that went nuts over just normal gameplay. One of them admitted that they never play killer. It's really bonkers.

I go say ggs in chat and they insult me and say I suck cuz I slugged, camped, tunneled and I don't deserve to win if I do all that. Decide to check an earlier vod where one of thems playing killer, and what does she do? Tunneling, camping, slugging. "They brought the map offering do I'm tunneling idc" Then in another Ormund match she's complaining about gens going to fast. "Man what am I supposed to do? They're doing gens too fast. I'm just gonna camp hook idc."

Whining over someone's gameplay towards them is rude unless they actively went out of their way to be toxic during the match but this killer literally only saw 2 flashlights and a toolbox during lobby,that is pretty normal and does not indicate a bully squad and going with a slugging build using a perk that isnt that good against sfws is not necessary. If you are really worried about 2 flashlights and a toolbox you can just equip lightborn and still hook people against the lone toolbox user or even target them a bit more to make sure your hooks are uncontested. But a lot of such lobbies do not even behave like really efficient bully squads anyways, toolboxes and flashlights are just popular items. You can also always slug if they do turn out to be really altruistic players who wish you to deny hooks in any manner without using a slugging build. If they are a mix of 4 flashlights and toolboxes and bring 4 oak offerings you can still slug from the start but the people who complain about killers slugging in that scenario are far fewer than people who complain about killers who go into matches without intending to hook regardless of the lobby. None of this means slugging as a gameplay style makes someone a bad person or anything but you definitely are not forced into it.

For one side I understand the survivors frustration after being slugged, it's clear that this playstyle is unhealthy for the game (just like sending the killer to survivor-sided maps are unhealthy) but it makes no sense to get mad at the individual player that uses the build. If you have a problem with a game mechanic you complain to the devs not to your opponent. I feel like they should make it so after 30 seconds or so you get an option to bleed out and go next instead of waiting the 4 minutes.

I agree, they should have a give up/bleed out option. I always bring exponential now to my matches because of killers who just want to slug. I play mainly solo so when snowballing happens, bleeding out on the floor for 5 mins constantly over many games gets old. I would like that to be an option in the game so I can just go next.

True, though I feel like that would make people give uo after being downed instead of on hook. I think a basekit weaker unbreakable (maybe it could even deactivate at end game) it might make killers hook more while also not ruining end game strategy.

i honestly can see how sluging is strong specialy with swf like this, but honestly i use it as a last resort, hooking can also create a ton of pressure, specialy when most are hurt, if you can chain an unhook, hit the unhooker and hook the unhooker, you will be able to take them out of the game faster than sluggin

I agree slugging should be use when there a lot of sabotage and blind focus builds and tema in the game. If there are not I don't think is necesario I also have more hooking survivors than slugging since is less frustrating to hook a survivor than to chase and avoid 4 blinds and getting your hook taken down

That's crazy man, when you win and decide to hook the last two just to get the game over with rather than forcing everyone to wait until one bleeds out completely the game IMMEDIATELY punishes you for hooking and gives the Sable a free second chance. Like, it could not be more clear why killers are giving up on hooking. That right there.

I tried this exact build with Pig after work, and no lie, in that match, there were 2 flashbangs with background players and 2 break-out sabo gamers, and 1 of them had reassurance. If I had played hooks, I would have been so stressed out, but playing with this build, I got a 4k without stressing. Lmao my new favorite build.

They can blame bhvr for the community being blown to pieces (which is such an exaggeration to slugging using perks and addons that exist in-game). Even if it's not their intention, by giving so many options for survivor to deny the killer's objective, they have rewarded getting hooked and hook attempts. Survivors complain, but at least the ones with brain cells know that slugging meta was at least plausible at some point lol

I guess what I don’t understand is how survivors don’t understand it’s literally 12 perks to my 4. The time it takes me to get people hooked versus the time it takes for them to complete gens is wildly survivor sided. Hex spawns are so extremely basic on most maps it’s almost not worth running or at least whatever benefit received should be there even after it’s cleansed. Unless it’s like NOED etc.

Based on the fact that more killers are slugging than ever, because that's what the devs are forcing them to do, I would guess slugging gets nerfed sometime in the first half of this year. It wouldn't surprise me. Then killers are truly screwed and at that point, why play? Its impossible to win then.

Its always so funny when you survivor mains and SWF groups do use any tactic know to men to win op perks flashlights bodyblocking you name it, But if you change your tactic to slugging tunneling because you adapt to there play style they get mad, like today i got a realy nice game on wraith but the survivors made a big mistake with gens giving me a perfect 3 gen with wraith i got the 4k and i was called a tunneling noob man does type of survivors never play killer and i play both so i know what i am doing but also know when i made a mistake as a survivor when i die because of that well thats on me.

Nope, as it's not a basic attack for some dev-forsaken reason... But don't use this attack, too slow windup, gives audible warning and is basically just a slightly longer lunge. Manually "uncrouching" and lunging is faster.

@@Bodyknock Currently, the only way to secure a 4k no matter what is slugging, as all the Survivors base kit buff (longer hook stage, anti-face camp mechanics, base-kit BT) coupled with all the hundreds perks Survivors have to deny hooks makes it a nightmare for Killer to go against any survivor that has more than 2 hours at a game, nevermind a SWF. The devs can't let a reliable way for Killer to bypass all the bullshit they gave their whiny crybabies Survivors mains to make Killer's lives miserable. So it's obvious they'll either nerf Knockout to remove the aura hiding, or they'll Unbreakable as base-kit to survivors.
