Miguel Angel, I don’t quite think of sunny in the same sitcom category bcuz it’s a single-camera setup, so it just has a different feel to it. Getting renewed for a 15 season is unmatched for live action comedy. So you could definitely make the case. God knows they’ve created a lot of gold over the years... but the shows premise and it’s style of plot development of episodes is sooooo clearly influenced by Seinfeld, hence the homage and tagline “it’s Seinfeld on crack”- it’s hard to deem it the new benchmark. A funnier show, I might be with you. I definitely prefer curb to Seinfeld... but Seinfeld transcended demographics and permanently enshrined itself at the forefront of American pop culture and thus the collective American Psyche like no sitcom really had before or since. Though I would argue the amount of streaming networks and sheer amount of tv shows available now make it virtually impossible to do what Seinfeld did in the 90s. Seinfeld in today’s time wouldn’t be able to do that either.

The last clip demonstrates something special about this show that's always there but rarely so overtly shown. That Jerry and Elaine really do have a certain love for each other. Maybe that love isn't romantic so much as friendly, but the look of genuine excitement on both of their faces that they figured out how to take the friendship they have, not alter their dynamic, but still get to be intimate with one another is really sweet in a way. And that's even with their deal not working out, the point is in that moment they are sure they figured it out. They are just so happy to be able to be physical with one another.

The Asian guy had no haggling skills. I swear I could have sweetened the deal to a couple of months and only Jerry.

Do you know who should have got that part? Marvin Hagler!

Like your list except that The Brady Bunch was maybe one year at most in the 60"s.... More like The Andy Griffith Show for the 60's

i really like how jerry and elaine discuss "this" and "that" with subtlety. the exchange of words regarding the topic of sex between friends is not lost on the audience.

The writers were really great at getting around the censors with subtle wording. The Contest is a wonderful example.

The timing is perfection. David and Seinfeld were the generation’s Lennon and McCartney.

Kramer did a lot of legwork to get back to Jerry's apartment only to get what he started with xD

Just saw an article saying Seinfeld still makes $60-80mil a year from this show. Now that’s a retirement!
