I was talking to my mum in Lebanon about this teaching. I try to translate your Profit Pearls where possible. When I mentioned "Boiling a kid in it's mother's milk " she completely FREAKED out as we have a dish in Lebanon called just that!!!! Mum is refusing to cook this dish now. May the Lord God of Israel continue to bless you with his truth and keep you in his peace.

Since I discovered Nehemia he has given me such great joy. His zeal for the Word of Yehovah, his sharing his great talents, his humble spirit, everything about him, is wonderful to me. I for one, want to thank him, for the knowledge he has shared. He has given me a greater understanding of, the real teachings of Yeshua. I was a part of a Messianic Synagogue, I was very happy, I learned so much. But when I learned what Takenot & Maasim are/were I did not go back. There were several rituals they did, such as lighting the Shabbat candles, & other things, that sent a chill through me. However innocent, even beautiful, the rituals were, I couldn't do it. Any way I thank Yehovah for allowing me the privilege & honor of finding Nehemia, he has opened the Scriptures to me. I thank Yehovah I found Michael Rood, who introduced me to Nehemia. Blessings to all.

@@TorahObservantAZ it is wonderful. I wish I'd found them sooner. I was raised a Catholic, (Parochial schools, etc. The mass was still in Latin. I was in 1st or 2nd grade when they changed it to the language of the people who attended. Such a huge outrage.) Became a Holy Roller, 7th Day Adventist, Church of God, then around 1989 I read "Rosh Hashanah and the Messianic Kingdom to Come" by Joseph Good. It was like a brick fell on my head. I found a Messianic Synagogue, in 2008, loved it there. My wife passed in 2014, I stopped going (mad at Yehovah truthfully) finally January of 2020 I decided I needed to return, I knew I was wrong. I drove to services Friday night, they were closed. They'd switched to Sat. morning. I searched You Tube for a Messianic Service. The ones I found actually seemed silly. Found Michael Rood that night. He actually made me angry. Me? Wrong? Never!!! However, I could not stop watching. I watched everything I could find. Slowly it began to sink into my thick skull. I'm so happy it did. Nehemia was such an inspiration. Here was a true scholar on fire for Yehovah.(plus he taught me the Fathers Holy Name). I'll stop now.

I went to 6 years of Orthodox Hebrew School and was urged to go to Yeshiva but I declined. My parents where Jews in name only and my mother converted to Judaism in 1949 she was born Christian. I never understood the oral law from the Torah. It always bothered me the dichotomy between the two. Most all of my Jewish friends I grew up with in Baltimore just have dinner for the feasts and they think there Jewish. I was totally confused and left the faith but never became an athiest. In my 40s I found out the truth and became a messianic Jew and I am proud of it.

I figured that this was just a dietary rule, forbidding the making of cheese, in a certain way. The process of making goat cheese is the process of using the stomach of a baby goat, (or the rennet in it), and placing it in milk and heating it up, until cheese curds are made. Rennet is the chemical that is produced in a baby animal's stomach, which curdles the milk for digestion. Basically, baby animals live off of a form of cheese they produce in their stomach, made from their mother's milk. In ancient times, up until recent years, humans produced cheese by placing the stomach of the newborn goat (or any other animal), into a pot of milk, and heating it up into cheese curds, and once the whey is separated from the curds, you have cheese. Today, we eat cheese made from rennet produced from plants, but in ancient times, I do not believe this method was available. So it could have been a prohibition of eating goat cheese, made from boiling the newborn in its own mother's milk. Is it then a prohibition against eating goat cheese? Or a prohibition of eating goat cheese using this specific method? I'm not a big fan of goat cheese, so I won't eat it anyway. :***Note: this is only a prohibition of boiling a baby goat, in its own mother's milk. It is using specific wording for a reason. As a farmer, I've never milked any of my chickens. And this should not prohibit anyone from eating a cheese burger, using cheese made from cow's milk...on a 100% beef patty. :-)

Nehemia, love your enriching studies, learn a lot, love it how you stick to your way of truth seeking! When we want to know יהוה (&scriptures) we need you Bro because you've the " ד " embedded יהו-ד-ה i learned from other rabbis: it's not only about reference to pagan worship. context is (always) very important. but first technically; your body makes different "acids" to digest diary food or meat, so when mixing it while eating you confuse your own body learned from secular Israeli friend who studied bio chemistry (love the remark below from Glenn Ledbetter in this context). Second is in line with remark below of Saul, the whole concept/task of the cohanim/leviïm is to set/organize/guard borders/areas/time/property/social domains etc etc. in the same way G'd separated water/land etc. (indeed as Saul states, dead vs life, clean vs unclean etc. with various aspects involved with this concept). all boils down you could state to "be "separated" because I AM Holy" (vs don't be like the pagans). at last some insight of Yeshua, what you eat doesn't make you unclean (permanently) , it will find it's way out. in Torah there's no "(capital) punishment" for eating un-kosher even for eating pig (although G'd says it's a abhorrence) besides being "unclean" till the evening. So you are temporarily separated (should probably be considered as punishment for a holy person). Shalom, i'll go for a kosher coffee with milk..

I've come to believe this commandment means not to mix that which brings life with that which brings death. Even if this is wrong it's still a good belief to hold. It follows the idea of not mixing two separate natures together, as wool and linen, or believers with unbelievers.

Did you know both wool and linnen have a frequency of 5000, which is extremely high. But when the are put together, they zero each other out. The frequency of 0 is not good for the health of the body

Regarding the final words of the commentator about divisions. There has to be division because not every denomination serve the same Elohim. Some serve idol figures and in some they are the idols. YESHUA himself said there were gonna be division, and He himself will do the final division of the sheep from the goats.

All three scriptures that speak of not boiling a kid in its mother’s milk, all come right after or around the command to bring the tithe and the first born. Might they be being told not to cheat and cook a firstborn kid in its mother’s milk while out in the field?

Exodus 23:19 displays God's compassion against cruelty to animals and safeguards against the natural order of things in addition to a possible prohibition against paganism. I don't think this topic has anything to do with eating milk and meat together. This topic has to do with the fact that a mother goat's milk nourishes a baby kid and cooking the little goat would go against the natural order of things and display "a contempt of the relation which God has established and sanctified between parent and young" (in the words of one scholar).

This is not difficult, yes it's a pagan practice, but let's put it in human terms, we have have vacuum pumps a woman can use to milk herself and store milk for her child, would she seethe her aborted baby in that milk to preserve the stem cells? Imagine David's fury at Nathan's story, would milk the mother to boil the lamb? It's called FIEIEL PIETY (sorry if I misspelled fieliel). BOILING A BABY IN IT'S MOTHER'S MILK, THE MILK WAS TO GIVE IT LIFE.
@ruth7er3 жыл бұрын
Why Jews regarded Fetus as not a human being? As repeatedly found in your rabbinic commentaries. Don't you know that God have known a person even when still in the womb?
@moisesg.v.15753 жыл бұрын
Well, that verse of Yeshua talking about the Pharisees is correct in our normal Bibles. It simply says that we should obey what they tell us from Moses' seat, meaning the written Torah, but do not do what they do, meaning their traditions contrary to the written Torah. So there is absolutely no contradiction there and it does not need of being fixed. By the way, Yeshua did not pronounce the Name. He said ADONAI at the synagogue where he read Isaiah. The Greek reads KURYOS which means Lord or Adonai in Hebrew. So I will follow my Rabbi Yeshua´s example of keeping the Name holy.
