Re: Bricks stacked in a public place near the curb. For at least 50 years, it has been standard practice for people to place items that are free to take on the public right of way or at the front of their properties.

In general that's true. But if someone is mid-project it's common courtesy to at least wait till they put it to the side where it is obviously waiting for the city to pick it up or waiting for someone else to get rid of it.

Lights, camera, action: There's an amusing story on Reddit where a buttH (their back yards meet) aims a high wattage lamp at OP's house. And refuses to turn it around or stop it. OP plants quick growing bamboo as his fence, (and puts large stones on his side to stop roots from spreading). After moving, he checks on Giggle Earth only to find the neighbor's yard is fully overgrown with 20' high bamboo and resembles a forest in Burma, South Asia

And don't forget if there a minors in the house. This ratchets things up to 1,001 with those cameras. She'd be looking at some jail time then.

The issue only resides if they're intentionally targeting to the inside of the house. I e. Intentionally trying to go further than what could be naturally seen with the naked eye. But legally you can record the building and surroundings itself from public ( public Street or sidewalk) or private such as the surveillance cameras that most people set up on their property.

If you can see someone has cameras pointing at your house, just set up laser pointers so they hit the camera lens.

Replace All of your Windows With Mirrored Glass ! SO YOU CAN SEE OUT BUT THE NOSEY KAREN/KEVIN CANNOT SEE INTO YOUR HOUSE ?. The same think happened to a Friend of mine and She Put this Mirrored Glass in and oh Mum is the Word ?

If the 2nd story happened in the US then this story is total BS. In the states there is NO expectation OF PRIVACY in public. If someone has a camera pointed at your property then it is on you to create that privacy

S1: Jessica the Qaren should have been reported to the cops and the Nursing Board (if RN). Lost her accumulated pension/ leave etc, paid a fine and spent time in jail. Something funny. Occasionally, OP refers to Jessica as "HE" ?

The first story: the boss in question is named Jessica, yet we then read a number of “he” and “his” references. Story is BS unless something is corrected…..

No, the reader gave J the name Jessica. I've heard this story before, and "Jessica" was a guy and would bully women to try and get sexually favorites from them.... there are parts missing, I think, it's been a while since I've heard it.

It is only true if you are recording from public spaces. Seeing that the 12 cameras were on private property and pointed at private property then that's illegal.

Invasive stepmother: I'm in the situation of OP and I call the police saying I've been kidnapped.

Camera story in a lot of places they'd be perfectly legal without other laws the general rule is you are legally able to film anything you can see as long as you are legally allowed to be where you are filming from. Recently the courts upheld police filing a home from a nearby utility pole against the home owner
